I used to be able to run BeamNG on maximum settings at over 150 FPS on most maps (even demanding ones) Now I can't get more than 30 FPS on Gridmap with a single vehicle. My computer has more than enough capability to handle it: Nvidia RTX 2060 24GB Ram Intel i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80Ghz 200GB available storage space. Does anyone know what I can do to get back to what I had before? Thanks.
Video cable plugged into motherboard instead of GPU? Make sure your different ram sizes are in separate channels IE the two 8gb sticks in slot 1 and 3 and 4gb in 2 and 4 respectively, otherwise your system will have trouble lol. Your CPU is a little old but still shouldn't be getting that bad performace especially with a single vehicle. Also, are you at 1080p or a higher resolution IE 1440p?
1440p. But either way I could run it fine before. Alright, I'll check that stuff and get back to you.
3060 is a high mid GPU much better suited for 1080p nowadays. And beamng has gotten super demanding in the past few years lol
Found out the issue. My main CPU cooling fan was jammed with a couple of loose wires so it wasn't even spinning. Completely ruined my framerate, and now it's fixed
