Hello, I have unlimited money. I just bought a 13900k because it boasted 24 cores but the performance is still not that great with 12 AI cars spawned. What do I buy? a 64-core 3990x? An AMD Genoa 96 core processor? Does anyone with actual knowledge of BeamNG's renderer or engine know what the flagship setup would be for beam? I just bought a 4090. Thank you,
you should be getting perfect frames with that stuff. That's genuinely weird, since even my PC can handle 12 AI cars. If you have unlimited money, try to find a processor with the most cores possible. 64 cores isn't even nearly enough. Hell, you could get a quantum computer. It'll be much better than a 4090. From what I can gather, it'll take about 10 million to get your hands on one. Also, what infinite money glitch did you use? I need to know before it gets patched out of reality.
What RAM setup? Does it run in dual channel and at full frequency? BIOS and graphics driver up to date? What resolution? What settings ingame?
I appreciate it. I am working with someone at newegg to find me a processor with a ton of cores that can also be used for gaming. Right now we are not sure because most of them are meant for servers and don't do well under a load that beam would have. But yes. I do think it's genuinely weird that I have to turn my update rate from 6 to 1 to have a butter smooth experience playing at over 200FPS. If I introduce AI that drops to 80 FPS with my update rate at 1. With my update rate at 6 I get 34 FPS. Was just playing. I dont have quantum computer money haha but I will let you guys know any updates --- Post updated --- I have 32GB of Dual Channel Corsair Vengeance 4266... I bought 2 packs of 2 dual channel packs and have all 4 slots filled making 32GB. Beam uses about 14GB of it while I'm playing. BIOS and graphics are up to date but your BIOS and graphics driver being a few versions behind will never cause any performance issues long term. My settings are all maxed out in game, Im pretty sure I should be able to do that since I spent all this money
Are you sure that 'more cores' really is the answer to your problem? Are you actually CPU limited? What does the BeamNG performance monitor via ctrl shift f say? Also do you have resizable bar activated in your BIOS and hardware accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows settings? Those should prevent possible bottlenecks with modern hardware.
At this point, you should just wait on the 4090 Ti if you want the 4090. It's supposed to release sometime later this year.
