okay before everyone gets really angry with you i'm gonna just get this out of the way
no, he's not gonna make one because he doesn't want to and too many people ask him for it anyway

The modelling on the car is rather impressive (and looks perfect compared to real-life pictures), but I went tearing into the drivetrain and found issues:
    1. The engine (with stock intake and exhaust) makes 154lb/ft of torque @5000rpm and 160hp around 6200-7000rpm, but on the Wikipedia page it says 153lb/ft @2750rpm and 130hp @5500rpm.
    2. The final drive is 3.44:1 (which is present in the mod) but the configs use 4.11:1 (possibly to compensate for having less low-end torque then the real life car?)
    3. The triple carburetor intake incorrectly uses torqueModExhaust instead of torqueModIntake, which means it has no effect unless you remove the exhaust as only one of each torqueMod can be applied at a time.
    4. Both the real life car and the mod show a redline of 6500, so the stock ECU should logically be set to that instead of 7000.
I made an edited jbeam that fixed #1 (with an approximate but smooth curve), 3, and 4, and with the 3.44:1 final drive the performance is true to life (0-60 in 10.5s with the automatic, 9.5s with the manual in arcade mode, and 8.7-8.8s with the manual and a harder launch) while having a proper amount of reserve torque in the highest gear.

If you had comparable rpm numbers for the hp and torque numbers maybe that information would be more useful but I'm not sure what's currently wrong with it.
    Everything else seems valid.

They're peak numbers and are lower then the ones in the mod, but if both were true it would go from 153lb/ft of torque @5000rpm to 124 @5500rpm and back to 135 @6200rpm which would be a strange torque dip for an NA production engine.

Regardless, I did some searching and found these two dyno graphs for a stock DeLorean which both hit around 100whp (which makes sense for 130hp and 20-25% drivetrain losses) and while #1 is a bit different #2 is very close the curve I approximated.

(blue is stock, red is cold air intake)

I have been waiting for the release of the BTTF version for 4 years and only recently found out that the BTTF version has been abandoned for a long time.

It's only been two years. Mod was first announced in Dec. 2020. But yeah, some morons sent Lucas death threats and ruined it for everyone.

"Grrrr I'm going to send death threats because you won't make a movie version of the car grrrr"
Unless it was a different reason.

From what I've heard yep, that's the reason. Lucas can correct me on this, but I'm pretty sure he actually WOULD'VE made it if not for the death threats. That's what I got from what I read, at least. So, the morons sending death threats achieved the opposite of what they wanted.

My guess is that it's more effective at discouraging similar behaviour in the future.
What ever the reason is, we should respect the author's choice.

My guess is that having people show such disrespect really cuts down on your motivation to finish a mod. We don't even know how much deep into the development of that version he was, maybe he just started. Nobody is entitled to having it anyways.

it enables those kids and makes them think that they can get away with that
    also
yeah getting death threats to finish a mod and getting asked the same question 19012073 times kinda makes you dont want to do that
and its also his decision? if he doesnt want to he doesnt want to. no need to say why, just respect his work and choices
