JRI bus stops are on the left too, so that furthers the Japan theory. There’s also a wrecked japanese plane in the hangar at the airstrip. Combined with the obvious remains of military infrastructure, it seems logical for the map to be set in Japan or one of its former WWII occupied territories. I know it has Hawaii plates but it just doesn’t look that much like Hawaii realistically. If it wasn’t for the left side bus stops, I’d probably guess somewhere in southeast Asia like the Philippines or something, since that country was briefly Japanese occupied during the war
Since I am Japanese, I will put some Japan characteristics here. ・Cars drive on the left side of the road. ・Lots of narrow alleys. (Narrow enough that one car can pass through there) ・Densely populated houses with no (small) yards. ・There is a wall made of stone brick blocks. (Usually surrounds the house) ・Wave dissipating blocks are installed in the harbor. (Japan is a country with many disasters.) What is written from here is my guess. ・The blue-roofed building would be called a "direct-sales shop" or "roadside station". These are stores for selling vegetables, fish, and crafts from the area. ・Maybe the name of the bridge would be entered on the bridge fence. ・Japanese license plates are complicated. If this were to be implemented, there would be an update regarding the text input for license plates. ・Most of the building is probably rusted. This is due to climatic factors in Japan. (Simply put, the wind direction changes throughout the year) ・This would be located in the south of Japan because the buildings have many flat roofs. (Japan has seasons, and in winter, snow piles up, so many buildings in northern areas have slanted roofs to avoid snow accumulation.) That is all I can write. There may be some unintended wording due to the translation function.
The settlement was a brief test/proof of concept we did back when we were remastering Jungle Rock Island but it never went anywhere. The mesh was just accidentally left in the game, it'll be removed in the next patch. Sorry for the mix-up.
