Yeah, i know a alot of people really don't like seeing Pixar Cars here, cause usually they are completely bad meshslaps and kids would want to download them. But since this would be a good mod just like those Ibishu Claria and Ibishu Signia, it will be better then those crappy Lightning McQueen meshslaps. Unless someone who is a fan of the Lightning McQueen or they are a fan of the series and they are nostalgic or what ever, they can make their own if this will have skin support. i'd really don't want to start an argument as i was against bad and crappy mods in my Good Mods VS Bad Mods post. I knew that it would be better off to download the Ibishu Claria and the Ibishu Signia (which you gotta pay for) then to install a crappy meshslap of Lightning McQueen, Worst the sites that do have bootleg mods have viruses which is bad. I would just imagine seeing that if LJ would be hearing this, this would be very disrespectful because how much work and effort he took.
Aye the front and rear ends can split away from the floor. Please don't start another argument about it and node count though, I didn't add any extra nodes to allow it to do this.
Oh wow, that looks cool, it can be split in half which makes this look very cool to crash! --- Post updated --- lol, they are "flashing their headlights at him"
The idea of seeing characters from Cars is so funny, and I'd totally drive them! Plus, Cars is a nostalgic series even if I wasn't really into it or cared until a while after they were made.
well, about paid mod,you do have a point but fast isn't everything.slow cars such as Nissan Cedric Y30 are slow, isn't it?but they bring the driver and the passenger 80's vibe, which you could hardly find on today's cars, which makes them cool
To answer your question, this mod will be free, and on the repo, hence the lore-friendliness. And hopefully not boring! I'm adding in modification options as I go adding parts, there's already stiffer diff mount bushings and engine mounts, a cut hood, and you can pretty much do nearly anything you can imagine to the engine. Plenum-fed ITBs that can go onto NA, turbo or supercharged setups, fully individual ITB setup, several sizes of turbo either mounted low or sticking out of the hood, superchargers, nitrous, BOV options, mufflers to change the sound properties, headers to change the power curve and type of sound (log, tubular, UEL for a burble, or 4-through-the-hood if you really hate your ears), and all the internals options to take the torque or revs. I might post a video demonstrating later when I have all the above meshed and jbeamed fully.
Yes!, Sometimes i don't like the concept of paid mods but this will be free. Thank god it ain't gonna be part of that PAID bullshit, The only problems with paid mods if that sometimes, if the game updates and they don't update the mods, then it could mean that it was a scam. Some mods like that Ibishu Signia are good but they way they are paid is just pure bullshit, Claria is free and i wish the Signia was free, Atleast it came with a demo, Sometimes modders like LJ74 gotta make money like this.
But how will it go on the repo if it's using parts from the old Miata mod where the origin of the model is a mystery?
I did say if anyone can tell me where the model is /actually/ from I'd happily credit them and talk to them if possible, though I've redone a LOT of the model and jbeamed it from nothing. My main concern with putting it on the repo was not having real brand names on it. Yes, making a mod paid just introduces a ton of issues. Aggro from people who (quite rightfully) don't want the forums to become a DLC store, people having to update using a third party website, leaking, etc, I'd rather just put up my paypal link when this is on the repo if people wanna give me money so I can focus more on this stuff and less on my rubbish job at Domino's.
I feel like I should do a Ken Block tribute config or something now. Some ridiculously powerful engine, stripped out, rally suspension, AWD ripper with a black and white livery.
