The Stambecco diesel engine can run underwater if the snorkel is removed
If it has a snorkel and the snorkel falls off into a body of water the engine will drown

Yeah, the 4x4 Wydra is a lot lighter than a SHERP - the smallest SHERP's over 2,100 kg EDIT: 2,300 kg in weight, while even the Mudmaster only weighs about 800 kilos, so it'd make sense that the much lighter vehicle is far better at floating on water. It's even quite fast through it - I can get it up to 8 km/h in still water and almost 20 along JRI's peninsula bay.

I want to ask a couple questions related to the 4x4 Wydra (and the Wydra in general). Feel free to answer as many of these as you can - you don't have to answer all of them if you don't have the answers for them.

How exactly are you supposed to get inside it when it has the cab on, like on the Mudmaster? The side doors don't open, but the rear one does. Are you supposed to get into the 4x4 from the rear? I suppose that's not entirely unrealistic (from what I can see, the smallest SHERPs have a rear door, too, but they also have a front door).

I feel like the 4x4 Wydra could get its own, wider cab with opening side doors, but I can understand if that's not anything y'all want to add any time soon. Also, will the Wydra be getting any amphibious trailers for it to tow? It's got tow hitches on the 4x4 and 8x8 bodies, so I'm a bit surprised it didn't get amphibious trailers to haul around.

How many changes to the water physics have y'all made to accommodate the Wydra? I understand that there've been a lot of changes to the water physics over the years, like making it affect the vehicle back in...0.17, I think, but was this done just to improve the game in general or just for the Wydra? Because you've added features before (like the torsion bars) that I believe have only been added to one vehicle (the Piccolina), but which also helped improve a lot of other vehicles (LKS Prerunner, for instance).

Was the Wydra particularly difficult to build compared to, say, the tube-frame vehicles or the Wigeon? I understand that one of the most difficult aspects of building a vehicle is the suspension, and the Wydra doesn't have any suspension and has very few parts for modification, so it likely was a very easy car to make, right? I'm not sure how difficult it is to make a tube-frame vehicle, though - it seems like those are easier to make than regular cars, seeing as three of them came out just last week, but I could be wrong.

There is a issue with the engines for the Autobello Stambecco where they can't break. Yes the engines can still lock up from overheating/oil etc but can't get broken from a physical impact.
Another small issue is the D15 Crawler Crew Cab now spawns with a diesel engine but in the performance menu, it still stays the fuel type is gasoline and it should be diesel.
Just a few small issues that should be an easy fix for the next hotfix.

Yeah not if the engines in the new vehicles can’t break, you can literally rip them out and throw against a wall at 400 kph and they will still work as nothing happened. I hope this gets fixed:)

Is there a way to make the gears longer for the Wydra?

You can select different ratios in the parts selector (I think under final drive). The ratio cannot be adapted manually tho as far as I know, just 1 of the 3 presets can be chosen

I personally like the doors not functioning, it seems like something a cash-strapped small polish company would do.
"why make a whole new set of doors just so you can get out in a particularly unsafe location?"

I think there is no point fixing that until they implement proper physical damage of all engine components on all cars, because generally all engines on all cars are way too impact resiliant for now. If they add more types of physical damage they will add them to all cars and tweak other damage values meanwhile.

Oh, that makes sense - in that case, I guess the Wydra's cab doesn't need to be edited.

I mean, all our ladas in in family had rear door latches that would be stuck after short time buying the car brand new. Grandpa's 1989 lada 2109 had stuck door latches and nonworking heater from the factory, not too far off from Soviet era build quality if you ask me

Well of course the physical damage on engines is everything but realistic but there are cars whose engines get damage at least a little bit realistically (for example Bastion) and don’t keep functioning when being ripped out.
