It's time to celebrate modding on BeamNG Drive again!

So it's the start of the BeamNG Modding Awards 2022!

>Phase 1 has just been launched (phase 1 end at December 21, 2022), you can now submit the mods you want them to participate in the BMA 2022!

>At the phase 2, people will vote, the 5 most voted mods in each category will end at the final !

>At the phase 3 (final), the 3 most voted mods in each category will get the gold/silver or bronze trophy !

I'd put the Procyon Centauri, the technology is unbelievable and the quality is mind-bogglingly good.

 

We've had a massive amount of really good mods come out this year. I'd put my money on the Centuri, but I wouldn't disregard the Vertex or Claria either.

 

Just submitted a few. It's too bad only one can win. They're all really good.

Well, there's a first, second and third place, so in fact 3 mods can win in each category.

 

The quantity gives me way more fun than the quality.

 

But aren't those two different categories?

 

You must use 3rd party meshslaps a bunch then. When it comes to beam, it is much more important to have quality.

In fact yes, the first one is the "Best Modified Vehicle Mod Award" and the second one is the "Best Vehicle Mod Award".

 

1. Making assumptions about me won't help you in the argument.
2. Me saying quantity>quality was referring to KLJP vs Procyon Centauri. The Centauri is a dev quality car, while KLJP modifies existing cars (now with both Pessimas having a heavily modified luxury version). All of the configs and engine options simply beat the other mod, which is just one car.

 

1 - That was an assumption considering the children on the forums nowadays that say similar things. Surprisingly common for them to enjoy crappy meshslaps more than quality mods. You haven't proved me wrong, though.

2 - That makes much more sense. I personally think the quality of the Centauri is better than the quantity of KJLP. Don't get me wrong, both are great (and can't be compared correctly due to them being completely different), but the Centauri being fully new brings more fun to me. I could have more fun for longer messing around with the Centauri than the KJLP cars. More of an opinion thing, let the best mod win!

 

Agreed. Centauri simply lacked performance tuning options. 520 hp is too little. Even BMW M550xi has more power than that jfl. Could add a variable boost TT for the Centauri twin turbocharged engines.

KLJP has wayyyy more tuning options like the 13B rotary Twin Turbo which I dig A LOT.

A showcase video of the mods in action as you present the nominees. Like a vehicle mod or a car parts mod where the mod is driving around.
