Idk chinese cars have just words smashed together, s so something like Hǎo yùn (好运) which means superb fortune,or its what the car does like Jiātíng (家庭) which means family. But i don't live in china idk.
In the 50s of the last century, the names of the first cars produced in China had patriotic elements, such as 红旗(red flag ps:Red symbolizes China),上海(A city in China),解放.But those were temporarily gone after that. In the 80s, Volkswagen entered the Chinese market as a joint venture and founded Shanghai Volkswagen. So that before 1980 and 2000 you saw almost all four-door sedans on the road were Volkswagen Santana. It was not until after 2000 that what I consider "real Chinese cars" began to appear. The names of those cars generally have very happy meanings, such as "吉利" (auspicious) and "长安" (eternal peace). Important components such as engines are supplied by Japanese manufacturers such as Mitsubishi and Toyota, and their appearance is modeled after classic German and Japanese cars. (except for places like Taiwan) So I think you're completely mistaken and need to start over.
i personally like this car and just because it may not be the most true to real life does not mean they need to start over even official beam.ng cars are not realistic like the bastion, a charger with a ford grill made by chevy
idk bro, my experience with chinese cars are my mum screaming about them whatsapp and top gear (also google translate since i failed Cantonese 3 times)
I think the model name “may” is fine, as for a different brands maybe call it Lóng xīng (龍星), pronounced as “long sing” for non Chinese speakers, meaning dragon star in mandarin chinese according to google translate. The non Chinese writing of this could just be “Longxing” since they tend to write the non Chinese names as one word
Instead of calling it the "May" what, about a meaningless string of numbers and letters? Like the Shuanghuan S-CEO HBJ6474Y
“龙星”Sounds like a bus manufactor to me. Also there's a character called“龙星”in the Chinese movie Hail the Judge(“九品芝麻官”in Chinese)
Nice name( I also came up with other names such as: FAW-Ibishu Pessima Classic(一汽-伊比淑 经典普斯玛) FAW Longxing(一汽 隆兴) Ibishu Pavilion(伊比淑 亭阁) Of course, the exterior of the car should be changed if it's named after Ibishu.I am sure that Ibishu will not swap the front-end design of the second-generation Pessima directly to the first-generation Pessima. It looks so weird
That doesn't mean anything in Chinese, sorry. First, "Shuanghuan" is the factory name, "S-CEO" is the vehicle name, and "HBJ6474Y" is a serial number and will change it's number when mechanical stuffs change (such as when you need to recall a certain vehicle with a certain engine, you just need to put out the exact serial number for other people to know). I'm really sorry, but this is just cringe. Chinese language doesn't work like that and the only people I can remember doing anything remotely like this is the French with the Renault "Le Car", and we are not the French. On a personal note, I think we, the Chinese, should take care of the name of the vehicle, because when a foreigner do this, sometimes it's gonna get filled with stereotypes, and in worst case scenario, even racist information silps right in. I'm Not accusing anyone anything, I know you guys are just helping, but just as I said before, let us handle this. We have a rather big community that I believe, can and will come up with a name suitable for anyone and everyone. Thank you!
Or, here is a wild idea to everyone, you let them name it whatever the hell they want to because it is their mod? If you where to make an american car, would you appreciate us telling you that you weren't allowed to give it any random name and instead that only the american forum members could name it? So let the poor guy name his car the JinZhong, if you think the name is stupid, then don't download it, pretty simple
We just made suggestions for him. As a mod for a Chinese car, I think Chinese said the most reasonable. But we do not play a decisive role.
Suggestions are perfectly fine to a degree Insisting that a certain group of people have exclusive say over the name due to nationality is something completely different
