Yeah the more I think about it, the more I think it’ll be a front engine i3 or i4 (possibly both options) then a flat engine. As much as that would have been nice, it would remove trunk space (or whatever it’s called), particularly for the fire truc variant. Also it can’t anyway use the Piccolina engine as they’re just too weak for a truck so they would have had to make a new engine anyway. Also it explain the bulge in the front and the front intake for the fire truck variant.

@tdev this is an intervention, you are now required to tell us everything about the update, because I said so and I am an impatient child who will throw a fit of rage if I do not get what I want. :)

If you want to, you should do it again for the next update.

I wouldn't be surprised if the base engine is the largest possible variant of the Piccolina's flat-4, maybe even a flat-6 could be an option. It makes sense, it would save space and be cheaper than making a totally new engine

Those tires are much thinner and are especially designed for mud. So no relation.

I plan on it, as well as a look back when 0.27 does come out

The problem I see with that is that, where do you put it? In the front there’s not the space. In the back? Maybe but then why is there a huge utility door on the fire truck there. Also, it would take interior space in the back for it. And it doesn’t explain the bulge in the front too.

Most maps have at least some buildings with see thru windows, but most aren't that detailed inside.

I think the best way to explain this is that it was badge engineered from some company (potentially ETK, judging by the ever present dip in the center of the grill).

If this happened, flat engines simply wouldn’t be present.

The Chevy Corvair Van has a rear aircooled flat 6, and it dosent take up much cargo space in the back because the engine cover becomes the cargo floor, and it has a bulge in the front, I know this because i am working on a 1963 Corvair Panel Van

I saw someone on the BeamNG subreddit call this the Bello Bus and I am stealing that name.

Honestly the thing I'm most excited for was previously an off road config with flatbed upfit and a performance engine, but looking at that funky suspension set up makes me excited just for the box standard config. A portal swing axle truck would be awesome to have in game.

Pretty sure people stopped debating about when it's coming or going as much and started debating content within the update again, so I must say I'm not sure I can agree with that assessment.

I think it 100% will have an engine under driver’s compartment.
The new inline 6 diesel would fit right in.

What?? A flat-4 is one of the most space-efficient piston engines possible, it's only as long as an inline twin and not nearly as tall, just wider. Perfect for well-balanced 4WD systems, just ask Subaru

On the other hand, looking at the front axle, it seems the engine is behind or over it as in most classic 4x4's. This doesn't mean it can't be a flat-4, but there's no way to tell at the moment
