The new off-roader looks amazing! The tread pattern of these new off-road tires must be turned around from a "Lambda" ("Λ") to a "V" though. With this new teaser, we have 4 off-roaders, in order of appearance: Piccobuggy, modern Trophy Truck, Heavy-Duty Multipurpose Truck, Beaver-like vehicle. The truck we saw on last Thursday's teaser is certainly the modern Trophy Truck but without the engine, to make us wonder. I also noticed that it had the twin spares (which were also showed in this Tuesday's teaser). So no SBR4 conspiracy theories here.
If they split the christmas update in two parts again i can smell the final countdown already since last year part one came on december 2th. But who knows what will happen from this point on!
Yes i was thinking that to, but i looked it up and 90% of them have the tires the ''wrong way'' (think it's for beter water control) And don't forget the truck teased in the map teaser
I hope the Argo-like ATV's wheels are going to be available for 5/6 lug hubs. People throw tractor tires like those on 4wds and they make them ridiculously capable in snow/mud. There was a video of a Jeep TJ with 31x15 (IIRC) tires similar to those in the teaser and it was able to climb up a muddy, snowy hill in 2wd with no issue.
So we're doing Teaser Thursdays now and there's so many off-road vehicles in the works that I've lost count. I would be concerned about sacrificing quality for quantity, but the BeamNG engine generally nails off-road vehicle simulation so I'm not too worried Now we 1000% need an Eastern European map with lots of mud
No, they don't. On regular cars they have the V to easily part water to the sides and create a somewhat dry surface on the road to drive on. But this is an amphibious vehicle, it needs traction in a water body, so you don't want the water there to go away easily (V) since there is no surface below the water you can grip on but create as much struggle for it to go away/around the tire as possible (Λ ) so you can push from it and create forward motion.
Had never heard of this before. That's what the V is useful for, removing water faster. That's exactly the truck I'm referring to. It has no engine, for confusing us, it has the twin front lamps on the front bull bar and it's also got the twin spares at the rear. It's definitely the modern Trophy Truck. --- Post updated --- That's really cool actually, hadn't thought of this!
Does the trophy truck also have the scoop on the roof? If it is one I’m not sure but looks to me like one
Maybe the new Trophy Truck will use the engine from Bastion, because its engine (Bastion) is in a common folder.
That's 4 cars now right? Plus the K Series remaster? There's no way they can release all of these in a single update.
