Hi! How many FPS would i get on a laptop with these specs? (on medium settings) Brand: Lenovo Model: Ideapad Gaming 3 15IHU6 CPU: i5-11320H GPU: GTX 1650 (laptop gpu ofc) RAM: 8GB 3266 MHz I cannot upgrade/get a better laptop due to money. I also cannot get a PC due to limitations.
My bet would be somewhere between 20-40 fps, provided you tweak some settings. Though, I'm quite convinced that 8 GB will make it quite difficult to get good performance. I currently have 16 GB and I still get the RAM full warning. I'm not sure about the CPU, too – and BeamNG greatly relies on it. Do you have any alternatives within your budget?
I think it would be good experience (60+fps) with a single vehicle on most maps, with playable experience (30ish fps) adding 1-3 extra cars. But don't expect anything even close to what people do in crash compilations on Youtube. RAM might be a limiting factor on the biggest maps or large maps if you have many things running in background. Is there any chance you can stretch your budget a bit more to get something with a 3050/-ti or ideally a 3060, 16GB of RAM (if not 8 is fine, but check if you can upgrade it later. It's a pretty easy process, most models have easy to follow tutorials about how to open them up safely)
more than 60 fps on some small maps, but if you want 60+ fps on bigger maps, you need 16G of RAM and even more
Sorry for the bump, but now i could get a PC with these specs: 16 GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM I5 10400F GTX 1650 TWIN OC Are these good to run Beam on High at 1080p?
If you're not looking for much mobility, PC will typically be a better option than a laptop. From a quick google search I can say that the i5-10400F should be better than the laptop i5-11320H – although it's one generation older, it also has two more cores and the benefit of not being that much power limited. When it comes to RAM, as I mentioned above, 16 GB will give you the optimal amount for playing with larger maps. And you can always add a stick or two in the future, it gets a little more complicated with laptops. As for the GPU, I'd wager a guess that the desktop variant will be more powerful too, but I can't really tell you how well it will run (is anyone with a 1650 here?).
I've got a gtx 1660 TI ( with what i see it's 60% better than your ), same ram, and I have a I5 8300H ( your is 30% better) so I think you can use the game in hight setting, I play with ultra setting without dynamic reflections. And I have 80FPS.
I am inclined to believe that you would be able to achieve 60 FPS at mostly high settings and 1080P with that build. I do have one question though, do you think you'd be able to build your own PC? It's almost always cheaper and you can build it exactly how you want. I can create a parts list for you if you're willing to give building your own PC a shot. There are lots of amazing guides that are easy to follow on building your PC. If you decide to go this direction, all I need is a budget and I can make a parts list for you.
I've got a laptop, I doesn't build my own PC because a laptop is more practical for school or for travel, He is prossibly like me.
Originally he was considering a laptop, but it appears that he is now looking into desktops, as evidenced by the fact that the GPU he listed has a brand/model name (Twin OC, an Inno3D brand card), which laptop graphics cards do not.
How I know nothing in computer, you are probably right, and if you are right, build his own PC is really better in all points.
Yea sure i guess. Is it a problem if you can use the romanian currency RON/Lei (basically the same) and the romanian website pcgarage.ro or emag.ro? I live in romania and i cannot order parts from other website because they will arrive very late and there are some limitations too (yes i have tons of limitations xd) Also the budget is 3000-4500 RON/Lei
Yeah saw the first one late and was writing my post above as you were writing your response lol. --- Post updated --- Well, I may have to task you with finding your own GPU on the used market (or new if you prefer) as I've just learned that new GPUs where you are are still wildly overpriced. I can spec the rest of the PC out, but I'll leave looking for a GPU to you. --- Post updated --- Aside from the GPU and the case, I've got the build sorted out, and, assuming you have a functional setup already (keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.), this should be all you need to get up and running, aside from a case and GPU of course. I left the case decision to you because a case is a fairly cosmetic thing that I feel should be left to the owner of the PC. Before the case, it all adds up to around CPU: https://www.pcgarage.ro/procesoare/amd/ryzen-5-5600g-39ghz-box/ Motherboard: https://www.pcgarage.ro/placi-de-baza/msi/b550-a-pro/ RAM/Memory: https://www.pcgarage.ro/memorii/cor...ck-16gb-ddr4-3600mhz-cl18-dual-channel-kit-2/ Storage: https://www.pcgarage.ro/hard-disk-uri/seagate/barracuda-2tb-sata-iii-7200rpm-256mb/ Power Supply: https://www.pcgarage.ro/surse/seasonic/g12-gm-650-80-plus-gold-650w/ 2 of these fans: https://www.pcgarage.ro/ventilatoare-radiatoare/noctua/nf-p12-redux-1700-pwm/ Without the case and GPU, this build adds up to a bit under 2700 RON, leaving you with maybe around 250-400 RON for a quality case and the rest of your budget for a used GPU. I'd recommend buying whatever you can get, but a few reasonable goals should be AMD Radeon 6600/6650 GPUs, or potentially older Nvidia cards like the GTX 1070/1080(Ti) and just about any of the 20 series cards. Here's an AMAZING guide to follow, it goes through how to install everything and get it all running. It does use an Intel CPU, but the process for installing an AMD CPU is somewhat easier than an Intel CPU. I wish you luck with your build, and finding a good deal on a GPU.
Thanks man! Ill try to find a gpu and a case for me. --- Post updated --- Is a bit less than 200$ USD good for a 1070? I found this used 1070 in my area:https://www.olx.ro/d/oferta/asus-turbo-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-ti-8gb-fhr-gddr5-256-bit-IDgx68C.html I'm not that good in tech unfortuneatly
