Very big stretch that it could be (although VERy unlikely) a new brand the represent chevy since ford is gravel? Bruckle is dodge and hmmm YES VERY UNLIKELY
As I said, we definetly do need a modern pickup. They've changed massively in a lot of ways since the 1980's, most notably drivetrains. Today's 1 ton trucks are just insane, and having an equivelant to the TRX would be awesome (factory off road is a huge empty niche right now). But needing one doesn't mean that one is in development currently. I'm sure we will get one and probably soon considering they've been hitting the big hits for top content requests, but nothing we've seen necessarily requires or suggests one. I'm certain the Bastion's engines are in the common folder for these upcoming rigs that have already been teased. A high HP modern V8 is perfect for the tube frame truck, a high HP version of the ETK truck, and maybe the TRex buggy depending on what that thing actually is. We already have a lot of Gavril V8 swaps so it's nice to have another option for swaps and the like.
I think Gavril is a pretty tight blend between Ford and GM in it's current form. Bruckell is definitely Dodge heavy, but, they have yet to release a truck under that brand. IMO, a Bruckell pickup set in the early 2000's would fit pretty well in the existing lineup. It would give devs the opportunity to expand upon the already popular truck segment with some updated quirks and features (TTTHHHHHIIIIISSSSS) that are sort of missing in the current truck(s). It also helps that the Bastion's V8's were placed in the common folder not long ago. Some may argue that it was for testing, but, an alternate set of engine sounds for said engines were also discovered. TLDR - I think Bruckell will be introducing an early to mid 2000's truck.
it's definitely going to be a complete beast as the drivetrain is very well packed and almost nothing is exposed except for the rear drive shaft in the middle, but that also seems to be stuffed up very well so the connection point from the shaft to the axle is the only vulnerable point I've seen so far, the construction seems very solid
It's not about you about me or about anyone. As Lucas said, to this date all special vehicles have been released with a street production vehicle. Even rn we have a baja truck that guess what, came with a production vehicle (rework). We're speculating with facts, using a patron that has been flawless to this date. Also, even baja real life trucks fiberglass body is made out of a production vehicle. So don't talk like if we were wrong. It's statistically more probable it comes with a production vehicle than it's doesn't. That's it.
Please point to a relevant precedent related to us getting a full tube frame rig (not caged frame) with fiberglass shell. I think the Group 5 Bolide is the closest we have. An entirely tube frame vehicle is not something we have any precedent to point to. This is entirely uncharted territory for the game. And I wouldn't classify "this is disapointing" as "speculation". This is the space to speculate and there's a lot to talk about. We need a full sized truck and this very well could be a first look at the front end styling and engine of one. Not necessarily, but potentially. That's the point and fun of speculating, none of this is known right now. If it was known then it wouldn't be speculation. But you know what isn't speculation? Saying "this is dissapointing and useless" every teaser tuesday/thursday when someone points out that the idea of a new truck is not necessarily derived from what we've seen so far. I get that this truck is not everyone's cup of tea; the Wigeon certainly isn't mine. But I acknowledge that other people do enjoy it and I didn't go around saying how disapointing it was every time they teased it.
The suspension looks very familiar, in fact it looks like it was yanked straight from the D-Series Prerunner. That stuff is high quality already though, so it’s quite alright.
The longitudinal arms/links of the rear suspension look quite a bit larger though, more like those of the classic LKS Prerunner mod.
Huh? The new truck is completely different from the 'piccobuggy'. There is a 100% certainty that they are 2 separate vehicles/platforms.
I have a question about spinning van of 1960 s in one of dev. media Is it a new car or prefacelift of H-Series? UPDATE oh i just watched this teaser again and found that this van has euro/uk style. so its a new car (still not 100%)
It's a totally new car, it has nothing to do with the H-Series. It's more like an old European Heavy-Duty Truck.
