yeah that's a 100% custom chassis with most likely fiberglass panels on top to make it look like a production truck when it really isn't What I'm wondering is are we going to get a modern truck on the side with the same design?
Few things I noticed- Complete tube frame, 2 spare tires, different suspension geometry specifically in the front (coil-overs look to be far more angled), I couldn't see many engine components but it looks like either a radiator or oil cooler angled backwards in the front and I can't tell for sure but it looks like there is a radiator behind the seats. Finally, it looks like the last teaser with the buggy was a stripped version of this.
has the same vibe but you cant see the ocean, and there are more than one hill (small iland has a central one not 2) --- Post updated --- if its made to look like a modern truck there is probably a modern truck that they based it on some more stuff from watching the video 03091730 times
I bet this is a new modular offroad tubular chassis that regroups this trophy truck, the buggy seen on the side of the gas station and the picobuggy
The truck is looking fire and the map even more so, huge open area and mountains which look accessible. I wonder where the gas station is xD. I cannot imagine that there will be a street legal truck tho, everything about this looks purpose built for off-road…
I don't see why so many people are expecting a production truck to pair with this. We aren't talking about a homoligation special here, it's a tube frame with generic fiber glass panels on it. I have a suspicion this and the T-Rex buggy are part of a modular thing since the team could slap the same bits onto different tube frames to make rock bouncers, trophy trucks, crawlers, truggies, etc... I suspect the Piccobuggy is not part of it though. Being a smaller vehicle it won't share as many parts and they might use the front and rear of it as sub frames on the Picco's unibody, which would force it to be treated as a Piccolina derivative
Mostly because we've never ever had a special vehicle without a production counterpart alongside. I mean, I'd be fine either way, I just think having a modern pickup truck along with this tube frame beast would be pretty cool. It's fine if there isn't one though
I’m pretty sure that’s a new map, and by the looks of it it’s massive, which would match with the Baja theme and Baja makes sense with the 3 different off-roaders we have seen
It's also got that triangular part on the front for protecting the engine and the oil pan from crashing down on the ground. So it definitely has a normal, fossil fuel-powered engine. We just have to wait to see what that engine is.
I definetly want to see a modern Bruckell full sized pickup and think the game is overdue for one, I'm just not seeing any hard evidence that one is coming. With all the Baja teaser's we've been getting there will certainly be something not related to a production vehicle, which is an incredibly important precedent for the sim-racing side of the game/community.
Because like some of us said many time: It would be disappointing to have none. Purpose-built or not, we already have a very similiar vehicle to this so a production vehicle should come with it in my opinion.
And as some of us have responded many times, the community is larger than you and there's already plenty of content for those in this boat. By "plenty" I mean "literally everything put in game up to this point and half of what is coming up". Why does every single bit of vehicle content need to be what you want to prevent you from being disapointed? Personally I love vintage racing content but I don't say "this is disapointing" every time the team releases something that isn't a vintage LeMan's racer. Every single car in game so far, the upcoming ETK truck, and upcoming K-Series work is all street legal. This game and community covers a wide range of interests, why can't you let the content reflect that? If part of this game is going to cover sim racing then we need race platforms that are beyond homoligation specials. And once again, a modern purpose built tube frame truck is not in the same league as a garage built caged frame 1980's truck. If these are too similar then so is 95% of the street legal content you seem to only want.
i think what most people are saying is that the shell is based on an upcoming truck, but the frame and all that is completely different --- Post updated --- a race-specific car would be nice, but I don't see this kind of truck is the one. Whether or not though its super cool even though im not a truck guy --- Post updated --- Anyways, I think this COULD**** be a bruckle truck due to the design scheme of the lights somewhat reflecting those on the bastion, Although it could be gravel as like in real life the design language does change.
A lot of trophy truck shells do have grilles inspired by production trucks. I could see this having some Bruckell badges and the Bastion engine, but that still doesn't necessarily lead anywhere. Bruckell would make more sense than Gavril for diversity sake.
This exact thing can also be said for a modern Pick-Up Truck, because electronics have dramatically changed the whole automotive industry. As I said, the Bastion and the Scintilla (plus the modern ETKs and the Cherrier FCVs) are two vehicles reflecting on the development their automotive species have had over the years. We don't know whether this truck is part of a production vehicle lineup or not but ok, I reserve the right to hope that it is, because Bruckell will have a representative and because the Bastion's engines are in the common files.
