Update Speculation thread

Yeah, ABS rework is good too.

But there was a lot hinted at by tdev that got delayed for post 0.26, Tire Thermals being the main question.

Mud/Scratches in early phase was another one.

Aerodynamics rework is the one that hurt the most as Tdev never awnsered my question, just said they'll look at it.

I'm thinking the whole lot of content is to kind of supress the lack of feature for an update (which would be a first in BeamNG if we got a full offraod focused update with like 3-4 vehicles, would be most likely the biggest update of the game)

 

What is DRI

 

Dry rock island, an old map jungle rock island replaced a few years back

Seriously, yet another American desert map? Damn it, try harder, we already have at least two of them and that's before dozens of high-quality mods. We still have nothing in Japan, the Middle East/North Africa, Eastern Europe, Alaska, the Swiss Alps, Australia, I can go on but how many times can we rehash the same setting before the devs get bored? Or does this map have some kind of gimmick that hasn't been shown yet, or is it an expansion/remaster of an existing map? Otherwise I can't think of any reason not to can it and make literally anything else, I mean come on, there's so many great options, some of which aren't even accounted for by mods, and we get... yet another American desert map.

 

If it's DRI remaster then it's fine imo

 

So... bigger Small Island? Maybe we're all stupid, that is Small Island and they're actually teasing refueling? Maybe the WCUSA island is being expanded?

 

Now that I think about it that is almost surely small island.

 

I hope so, if that's the new map then it would be a pretty huge letdown, but come to think of it I might even recognize the terrain.

 

Sunny and dry, a teaser entirely based around rocks, all we need is a picture of the coastline and it's dry rock island

 

Dry Rock Island was scrapped and replaced with Jungle Rock Island, you can download the original as a mod if you like but it's deprecated and hasn't been updated for a long time

 

i have been digging around on youtube and the rock's and vegetation look alot like King of the Hammers. (baja+rock crawling)

 

Speaking of rocks, the new rocks don’t seem to be in use

 

next time can we get some more of the trophy truck

 

The rocks will probably be another version from the original rocks.

 

I agree, Rexy will be the best thing about whichever update he comes out on, can't wait!
