    Guys can we have discussion about exisiting maps in the game? Why u ask?

    I wrote a message about what each map needs, what it means to people and how each map is imagined and why WCUSA and ECUSA are better than Italy but I deleted it because of one thing.

    I came to the conclusion that:

    What we want from Asia map is in Italy but roads are more EU than in Asia. But main thing why Italy is less played than WCUSA and ECUSA is because of roads that look the same and because to drive straight from one point to other u need to us loop which is boring. Going up is different option but that's longer than loop which is also boring. Also when u think about Asia u think about Japan with their touges roads and drifting on them but this not working on Italy map so why should this work on Asia map? You also have togue on Jungle Rock Island and tell me how u feel about that map which you not using at all? (lets be honest) Also people want EU map and Australia not because of big EU city but because of countrysides to rally, or because of long straight like autobahn in Germany (that's why people want ETK bigger LOL) to crash of the road like in ECUSA, to be chased by police for longer than on Italy. On Italy u turn on corner and police disappear and spawn in front of you. That's why people use ECUSA like their USA and EU map. (lets be honest how many of u think sometimes that ECUSA is kinda like EU map). So from my conclusion (this is my small conclusion, imagine how many words had the previous one) to give the best for EU and Australia guys in terms of maps we need...

    ...Finland
    . (think first about Dirt Rally map and then think what you want from EU map or Australia map, Finland have both.) [please read message above u tricky cheater who only read the last sentence]

    the thing with italy is that the main roads are almost non existant, im fine with the twisty roads (thats how europe is tbh) but the highway is a bit eh, some bigger roads going to the center or castello would be cool

    You have one main road, that loop around map but road there is empty, nothing special around, only sea, road, barrier and sometimes tree. Also you turning mostly left or right (depending on going from Airport or from that small city on end of highway)

    thats why i mentioned to turn some other roads "main roads" and add small villages/ gas stations/ warehouses round the map to make it less empty since its that big

    The problem is it's a small island with small towns, bigger roads don't make sense

    Imo i think we need some more small roads, those are alot of fun to either drive super fast over or get some big loads over it (if only mirrors worked :()

    some that arent as twisty, with less sharp turns so it allows higher sped

    Imo i think we need some non square maps
    maybe an 8x4km map or just somthing made for higher speed cruising.
    Bassicly autobahn map but half as long and like way wider.
    But thats more a want then a speculate

    Meanwhile Still waiting on the Update Feature that will trigger the SSRB Update, as Nadeox said it was waiting something that was coming up next, wonder what could it be.

    Maybe it's the different aspcet ratio of maps, like 16x4km or something like that, that would enable the map to be less heavy and able to be longer than it already is? I don't really know what could be the feature at all

    I looked at the latest car teaser Tuesday and I have concluded tho this point.

    The front suspension on that dune buggy teaser looks a lot like the Autobello's front suspension. Maybe an Autobello remaster?
    That wouldn't make sense because the car hasn't been in the game that long. Maybe it has. But I don't know.

    a japan map would make sense and fill the Asian map deficit
    twisty touge roads, a wangan inspired expressway, small fishing towns (that look like that Yakuza map mod for the forums), a big town with a wannabe Shibuya, rice fields and farms, your typical anime protag suburb.

    That buggy is on the Piccolina chassis, it was left like that in 0.26 before it was removed.

    I doubt that would be possible, I think there's a reason why all maps are 1024x1024, 2048x2048 or 4096x4096. I think heightmaps have to be a power of 2.

    As a side note, I don't see a point in making a rectangular map. I guess what you have in mind is a long highway, but there are better ways to use space.

    The yellow line is a straight highway in a rectangular 2 km x 4 km map. Let's say it is 4 km long.
    So, a diagonal highway, shown in orange, just like we have in WCUSA, uses half the map area (so better performance), and gets you pretty close to the same length (~71%, to be exact- around 2.8 km). Same for a curved highway, shown in red, kind of like we see in Italy (but much smaller), which is almost the same length and again uses half the size (here it's probably around 3.5 km).
    If anything, a proper diagonal highway on a square 4x4 km map could be awesome, it would be around 5.5 km, so it could have enough room for multiple interchanges and for very long high-speed races.

    eah, I'm propably wrong on what the feature might be, it's just that it makes me curious on what feature is cooking that prevents such an classic and good map from updating

    I mean, you could do the same "better space usage" even on rectangular maps. The point on rectangular maps is not having a 90 degree turn on a highway, or a route or whatever since that's all we have been getting tho. And feels so artificial.
