No idea why mods of offroad cars always have problems with wheels breaking off easily, couldn't they just increase the strength of the hubs??
I believe for this mod they used the tograc as the base model. Anyways the reason for the suspension breaking is because the author changes the geometry of the suspension which makes it unstable because the length of beams changes and the location of the nodes changes as well. Beam values and node weights must be adjusted to make it stable again. I suffered from this alot when making my mods.
That makes more sense, I forgot that those things also matter. Is there any formula about how you should tweak those values or just trial and error until it stops breaking?
I personally follow real life examples for those things. For example if you have a beam which is 1 meter long but you decide to make it 2 meters, then you have to increase the spring and stiffness otherwise it will be floppy and soft. And when you increase the spring then you have to increase the weight of the nodes. Generally its like this but its also trial and error for the most part.
Yeah that much I knew, I was just asking if there is any formula about how much you should increase the spring relative to the length change
I wanted to love the car for it's offroading experiences but that ruined it, it felt flimsy. The 4Runner won it over for me
So, this isn't showing up in my garage. Please help. I have the zip and just dragged it in. Should I do something with the zip? --- Post updated --- I've got it in the spawner, gonna check garage.
I believe there is a setting somewhere that allows you to see mods in the garage, it is not turned on by default.
I love this mod. Really happy to see a good modern SUV in BeamNG Two nitpick: too much torque steer - wheels don't center out when accelerating out of corner and I get 1% damage after spawning according to Beam Advisor app (not sure what's damaged though)
I think he knows that but he told us that when he tried to model the 90 version but it turned out trash so it's unlikely he will make a 130 version.
