Why do you want to complete the whole to-do list and then release it instead of a "wip beta released" ?
that would be my next Question why do you need to complete everything i mean a WIP Release without some of the Stuff you want to have in the Mod would be a better Idea or not? I mean then we can test it already and have fun and everytime you update something we come back to look (just my Opinion)
Customization is supposed to be one of the key features of the mod and the first released version should already have a lot of it. But maybe at some point I can make a preview version like the Gavril Vertex had before finishing it and uploading on repo. I had the Star Wars guns in mind but I can add this variant too, why not. Realistically it would only shoot once though.
Maybe earlier, we'll see. Depends how much finished stuff I can add in that version. Won't be just 1 config like the Vertex.
So many people want a pickup, it's literally the most requested thing for this mod, I will have to add it but not on initial release, I think in first major update will be good to include it --- Post updated --- Progress update 10: Police spotlights and other side accessories added. There are 2 variants of the spotlights: retracable and fixed with antennas. They can also have various types of lights: yellow halogen, white LED and 70s style flashers. The spotlights also work as turn signals because otherwise the car would have none on the front with these equipped. The retracable ones move into straight position when high beams are active, and into outwards position when turn signals are active. There are various colors for spotlight mounts and housings. On the spotlight mounts you can also add USA flags because yes. They kinda flop in the wind but are stiff because plastic. No I'm not planning more flags because if I were to add every flag everyone wants it would slow down the mod progress. You can add your own flags as a mod for this mod after it's out. I also added working guns! Like with all my other gun mods they are customizable in the Tuning menu, you can select the amount of ammo, and they have laser sights like the BTR-80 machine gun. There's also a custom firing effect, the same as the custom backfire. A cool thing is that you can set a different fire rate for each gun and they will shoot in an unsynchronized way which sounds pretty cool. I don't think I'll be adding any other types of guns because these were already the hardest things to make for this mod, no doubt. From the smaller things, I reduced the brightness of low beams and all other dimmer lights (I mean the texture, not the actual emited light) because the brightness was too close to the high beams. Now you can actually see a difference. For the next update I'm making hubcaps because I completely forgot about them, shouldn't be too hard. Then only push bars to finish the police configs finally and move on to other ones.
Progress update 11: Lots of new small things added! Several different kinds of hubcaps to select. Left are pre-facelift ones and right facelift. V8 badges (stickers) added to pre-facelift Sport and Luxe models. They are on the sides too because 70s cars often had badges in weird places lol Folded roof added to convertible variants, 80s one also has a roll bar and looks overall a lot cooler. Customizable push bars, various police configs use them in different ways. This is not really a small part because it was tricky to make, it behaves pretty much how you would expect these kind of lego pieces to behave with the rotation and stuff, much different from normal pieces. It took a lot of planning and once that was done then it was not so hard to actually make it (aside from the 3D model for the main pieces which took me 2 days). Fire Chief config added along with a new skin for it. Based on the Sheriff but more custom, mix of parts from various versions. Lots of small parts added like different colored versions of some parts, also many small issues fixed mainly with the configs. With this update a large chunk of the work is done as all of the police configs are now finished, which means I can move on to the other ones finally. Idk what will be the order for the other stuff now, I probably have to start from sport parts so I can finish the sport configs, then probably some higher performance parts but we will see.
