Re: General discussion chat Too small in about every directionl. For my taste. My phone is a Hummer H5, some china, but it does not matter. It is waterproof, throwing-it-on-your-classmates-when-angry-proof, floorproof, pretty much everything proof, and its a lil bit heavier than other phones i get my hands on, but when i get a "normal" phone in my hand, i think that it is too light to be practical. It fell on the ground numerous times, and didn't even scratch a little. I like the weight in my hands when i actually hold it, and when i hand it to my classmate who was amazed what the hell is that, they are like, damn thats heavy. I don't understand normal peaople. Normal people are weird. Its a regular Android 13 something, has 8megapixel camera and one little selfie camera, it has everything, even two Sim slots, and... i like it. also it was kinda cheap.
Re: General discussion chat CAT phones are awesome. There was this video where they put a lot of phones on the floor and drove a digger over them, still fine. I can't find it now though.
Re: General discussion chat I'm certainly ready for a new phone. My contract ends in May. I think I am going to try Android for the first time. I didn't like it originally when I first got my hands on a friends phone 4 or 5 years ago. Hopefully it has changed for the better.
Re: General discussion chat my contract ends march 2015 either going to get a windows phone, or the note 3 (or galaxy s5) as i love my GS3, and it still runs like new as well
Re: General discussion chat my mate has the z2 its huge its bigger than the iphone six but it really light and dont brake if its dropped
Re: General discussion chat Ah, see for me, I had someone from the university of lincoln phone me to congratulate me on an excellent personal statement and that they felt it was so good that they were willing to offer me a place when they usually do not take people with predicted grades lower than their standard offer or who have retaken the 2nd year of 6th form, I fell into both categories. Seems they do indeed read them. UK university application system you narrow it down to 2 choices, a firm choice and insurance choice. If you get in at your firm choice, thats it, you are going there, its a right PITA to weed your way back out of that to go to the insurance one instead. If you don't get in there, you can go into the insurance choice and if they don't let you in then you go to clearing or you run off and cry somewhere that you're life is ruined or something (I dont know). Not being a stellar student, I found 2 suitable universities, northampton and anglia ruskin, of the 2 I wasnt sure which I liked more and they are a similar travel distance so I simply went with northampton as the firm and anglia ruskin as the insurance because anglia ruskin had the lower grade requirements (oh btw, you do all the applications before even getting your grades). Woke up on results day. Had an email flashing on my phone from anglia ruskin congratulating me on achieving my first choice but also mentioning that if I do manage to leave that one that they will happily accept me, as I read it I got an email from northampton confirming that I have successfully been accepted onto their results and sending me the enrolment details, went downstairs and found I have a letter from each basically duplicating the emails and a letter from UCAS to say I had been accepted for both choices and that I had of course been defaulted to northampton. This put me in a really good mood before having breakfast and I thought I must have done really well in my exams. Eat, compulsory facebook status, text convo's with mates etc, then actually go to 6th form to grab results and find I did total crap. Think Anglia Ruskin wanted 2 C's and a D minimum, northampton wanted 2 C's and a B minimum. I got a C, a D and an E. Got slightly pissed off at that, then thought back to the pile of mail at home and just laughed it off.
Re: General discussion chat I went to the university of Lincoln open day last saturday to see computer science stuff. It was really nice there. My contact ended about 9 months ago. Sim only now on a galaxy s2. I have chicago town microwave pizzas, they only take 3 mins in the microwave and taste pretty ok. I prefer proper pizzas though.
Re: General discussion chat Hehe, well, if I had ended up there and you also ended there, at least we'd be able to say hi next year, but I'm not there, I'm not cool enough. Chicago towns are pizza gold. I do love them :/ they are best oven cooked though, but that takes too long when I can whack one in the microwave for 3 minutes. Best lunch I can think of consists of oven cooked chicago town pizzas accompanied with dr pepper. The big chicago town takeaway pizza makes a damn nice dinner and there used to be a chicago town branded chocolate fudge cake which tasted amazing. Basically its possible to have chicago town for lunch, dinner and dessert, hell maybe leftovers (there shouldnt be any though) from previous night can even serve as breakfast, actually, 2nd thoughts, cold pizza for breakfast? I really don't get people that do that, I cannot have cold pizza and certainly not for breakfast, nor can I do pizza for lunch and dinner on the same day for that matter, although I've done 3 mcdonalds in 1 day before D: - - - Updated - - - I got a U for AS maths. GCSE maths I got a B and was fine with that, stupidly took it for AS and in the entire year there was basically only 1 bit I could do and that was differentiation which everyone else found easy too. Sadly I cant complete the exams with an ability to perform differentiation alone, I couldnt do integration either. Oh trig I mostly got too, eventually. Hmm. I'm a failure Spent the entire year struggling, attending all the support sessions I could, spent all my revision time doing just maths and lapsed on revision for other subjects and still got a U. Annoying thing was the school wouldnt let me drop maths until it came to september, but we started the A2 work straight after the exams, in my school that included mechanics, I can do mechanics, I get mechanics, mechanics is easy, PUT IT IN THE FIRST YEAR GOD DAMN IT, maybe I would have gotten better than a U if I had mechanics in the first year.
Re: General discussion chat Yeah, I'm going to apply to both Purdue University and Ball State University. They are both about equal driving distance so that's not the deciding factor. Their computer technology programs are nearly identical so my decision will basically boil down to whether I want the bigger and prettier campus at Purdue or not. Plus my best friend is going to Purdue so that's a bonus. I won't have a problem getting into Ball State. The average GPA acceptance there is a 3.0 (or 3.2 I can't remember) out of 4. I am rocking a 3.8 with solid test scores, multiple AP classes, a few college credits already, and an Academic Honors diploma from high school. My grades are plenty good enough to get into Purdue, but my test scores are a bit on the low side for Purdue's standards. I'm retaking the test in November so I can get a better score though. Hopefully I get accepted to both then I can just choose from there. I'm leaning more towards Purdue since it's a pretty prestigious university. Getting a job though won't be hard. My uncle's the CEO of an IT business in my city and I've already job shadowed there. I'm sure I'll get a job there.
Re: General discussion chat My contract ends this christmas. Not gonna get a new phone. Sticking with my iphone 5. It's served me well and never let me down. A Junior at my school got in a really bad accident this morning. He drives this big-ass goofy looking lifted ford. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but it was a 2 car accident, and somehow the truck ended up on it's roof. Someone also said that there was a fire. I was informed earlier that he died, but I had a hard time believing it. Then, later in the day, I heard from someone else that seemed slightly more informed that he's alive. No idea if he's been hospitalized or what. It's also kinda shitty that it was never formally addressed at school. I mean, someone's gotta know what happened and what kinda shape everyone that was involved is in. I also saw a picture of the drivers side of the truck. I didn't see any damage besides the roof, which disproves what most people have been saying happened; he was turning left from a neighborhood and pulled out in front of traffic. idk maan
Re: General discussion chat FLURP DA DURP I have an iPhone 4S I have stuck with it ever since I got it
Re: General discussion chat Phone contracts? Pshh. Although, 300MB a month isn't very much. (I pay $10 a month for like 500 mins/texts and 300MB.)
Re: General discussion chat I switched to a 5GB contract when I got my 5S because it's a 4G phone and I knew my usage would be higher.
Re: General discussion chat I don't even get plans or credit or anything. I just use my phone to check the time.
