Update Speculation thread

Ik, But they are finally being used.

 

• The Moonhawk is certainly gonna receive its full remastering sometime.
• The I-Series has unused badges that could certainly be used for expanding the lineup, along with some new ones for diesel engines (2000d, 3000d, 3000td).
• The 800-Series has unused badges but I find that, supposing the car gets an 1.5 I3 and a 4.0 V8, some "853" and "858" badges could be created.
• I dunno about the V12 but it certainly wouldn't get in the 800-Series. Cars like the K-Series and above are more suitable for this, although I believe the K-Series is still good with a V8 as its top engine option.
• Dunno about the Piccobuggy, but it was Ferretank the one who said this piece about the Sunburst. Other than that, I fully agree, Flats should be commonly used in the Hirochi lineup instead of Inlines because we already have a multitude of I4-powered FWD vehicles, half of which are Ibishus. Plus, the fact that the F4s are in the common files is a great opportunity for expanding the Hirochi lineup.
• A small Asian truck would be good but I don't think the one we saw is gonna be such a car. It looks more like a modern American Full-Size Truck and I hope it's a Bruckell because the Bastion's V6 and V8 engines are also in the common files. Plus, the Bruckell lineup will be expanded further.
• You're right, a small Asian truck, sized like the Ford Ranger, is very much needed. Plus, with so many Ibishus, this car could very well be a Hirochi because the SBR4's 2.0/2.5 F4s are in the common files, as you said, and also because if a Boxer diesel is included, the way is also paved for some other Hirochi models to share the Boxer diesel along with the aforementioned 2.0/2.5 F4s. Midsize Hirochi Sedan/Wagon and SUV platform mates, anyone? Also, modern small FR Coupe, anyone?

 

At some point we are probably gonna get the second part of the Grand Marshal remaster, it's really strange how it got its first part back in 2019 and never received its content pass, especially as all the other 90's Gavrils got them

Also, looking at all the vehicles in game, Ive made a list based on what needs a remaster the most and least.

1. Burnside Special- very little aftermarket content, low quality, no lore, no factory trims other than transmission-based models, might need bodystyles, one factory engine, one aftermarket engine. I can see why it is probably low on the devs' list, as there isn't really much you can do with it that isn't already covered.
2. Ibishu Miramar- very little aftermarket content, low quality, almost no lore, very few factory trims, def needs bodystyles, 3 factory engines, 1 aftermarket engine, not even close to tapping into its potential. So many possibilities, there isn't really an excuse here.
3. ETK twins- very little aftermarket content, meh quality, no lore, substantial but not quite complete factory trims, def needs bodystyles, 4 factory engines, not even close to tapping into its potential. Remaster coming.
4. Bruckell Moonhawk- very little aftermarket content, low quality, no lore, not enough factory trims, might need bodystyles, 2 factory engines. I can see why it is probably low on the devs' list, as there isn't really much you can do with it that isn't already covered.
5. Hirochi SBR4- very little aftermarket content, good quality, no lore, not enough factory trims, 2 factory engines. There is still a lot of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
6. Hirochi Sunburst- generous aftermarket content, very low quality, for some reason it's a JDM-sized compact a la Corrola Axio, no lore, not enough factory trims, def needs bodystyles, 2 confusing factory engines. There is still a bit of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
   
7. Gavril T-series- very little aftermarket content, low quality, no lore, not nearly enough factory trims, 1 factory engine, not even close to tapping into its potential. So many possibilities, there isn't really an excuse here.
   
8. Wentward DT40L- very little aftermarket content, decent quality, no lore, some factory trims, one factory engine. I can see why it is probably low on the devs' list, as there isn't really much you can do with it that isn't already covered. More JATO plz.
9. 200BX- very little aftermarket content, meh quality, no lore, very few factory trims, 1 factory engine, not even close to tapping into its potential. There is still a lot of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
10. Ibishu Pessima VM301- some content, good quality, no lore, lots of factory trims but could use some more, def needs bodystyles, 2 factory engines. There is still a bit of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.
    
11. ETK I- generous aftermarket content, meh quality, some lore, lots of factory trims but could use some more, def needs bodystyles, 2 factory engines. There is still a bit of potential to tap in to, but not as much as other cars.

Or the I series. The quality isn’t bad but it’s certainly not up to the current standard and has a lot of room for fun and interesting versions as well and the config list while more complete than the other ETKs certainly could use some love. 90s carbon tub DTM/ITC I series anyone?

(Okay I admit it’s technically a little outside the date range but that hasn’t stopped beam devs before, plus I mean just look at them)

Man this isn't exactly speculation but I would LOVE to see the SBR4's motor make its way into the sunburst. It even has a hood scoop already designed for a top mounted intercooler, which only makes sense on a flat or boxer motor! (and I guess a rotary lmao)

I know I'm super late to the discussion here, but on the slight chance that the new offroad truck turns out to be from a Swedish brand, i reaaally hope its not named Jargl. "Jargl" is basically borderline unpronounceable to anyone who can speak Swedish so it doesn't make any sense to be the name of something Swedish. Never liked the name since i saw it hinted at as a brand name years ago.

 

in case anyone missed it last time it was mentioned, the autobuggy also has more modern buggy-style body panel meshes.

(and before you ask, they're not jbeam visualisations, they are solidified and bevelled.)

I don't think so... Neither Saab nor Volvo have ever made any pickup trucks afaik... My bets it's either a Japanese or American midsize pickup truck.

Could you take a closer look at that engine for us... To confirm if is actually the hirochi F4?

It's the 1.5 Engine the Autobello has, I had put it in game. They might have changed it tho.
