Update Speculation thread

Don't think it's a fire truck but I could certainly be wrong...

It is, however, a 6x6 offroad van!


Check out the snorkel, side exit exhaust, and the size of that double length rear arch!

Construction looks to be from the 60s or 70s if I had to guess, and the design is European. Screams UAZ 452 to me, even though the actual design is wildly different, the basic shape and heavily utilitarian design feels incredibly similar

 

Ehhhhhh don't know what to make of it tbh. Maybe it means that 0.2x will bring some update to how fire behaves/affects cars?

Looks like an ETK fire engine to me, don't ask me why. Just has this old Mercedes look to it.

It's reminds me polish fire truck called "Żuk" but in 6x6 variant:

The front looks a bit like a smashed in unimog u406.

 

Front end reminds me of the Unimog almost, perhaps it's a new Unimog-esque ETK

 

I Have to imagine there'll be a 4x4 as well

 

This thing screams 70s-90s large mercedes van plus a little spice of Unimog.
I love it already!

 

I absolutely LOVE when the Beam-Team comes out of left field with a totally unique vehicle that nobody was expecting. I'm so excited!

 

I know that the new map is almost confirmed to be an Automation map remaster by now but this teaser makes me hope for some expansion of that map, although I don't know how common (eastern) European fire engines are in New Zealand.....

Either way I'm sure it'll be awesome

Man, the new fire truck looks great!
My guess is that it's an old German heavy duty BOF truck, made by ETK, and this is the Feuerwehr variant.
And since it's a heavy duty BOF truck, I think it's obvious that the Feuerwehr isn't gonna be the only conversion available.
Plus (and this depends on the age of the truck and the era it was produced in), it's gonna be interesting seeing what engines this car is gonna have because, with the exception of the Gavril T-Series, the game lacks some naturally aspirated diesels from the lore, at least for the lighter duty models.
