Wait, it includes the Wangan area now? I must redownload this immediately. Thank you @Car_Killer the mod rescuer
Yeah, cant wait till he gets the new source code so well have the full map. Currently we're missing road 3&4 (and some scenery)
hey there, i have 2 requests! 1: is it possible to make props appear from farther? like in the level editor? i'm on a somewhat powerful machine and i don't think it would kill my fps 2: Where and to Whom should i give muneh, the link of the OP is broken edit: forget about request one i just read the map controller (it's LOD bias for those who get to my problem) but i still wanna give my money!!
Heyy, nice to hear that you like the map! I don't think its fair for me to accept donations, afterall its 99.99% Ck's work, I have bugged him to get his donation thingy to post here and once i get it i share w yall edit: the link isnt broken, you can support him, and other amazing staff by getting another copy of the game, gift it to a friend :3
You just solved my issue with every map that has the map controller. I thought it was a BeamNG limitation, turns out it was the LOD value.
The wait is finally over! While it's not a perfect map mod due to some bugs and a lack of certain features at the moment, the C1 Shuto revival has a lot going for it nonetheless. Back in 2019 when the initial version was released, it was not very optimized and only included one section of the Expressway. Many people who had lower-end computers struggled to get even 30 FPS. Fast forward to today, and the transformation is significant: a full loop, better visuals, working AI traffic, and many more. No offense to the other user who also ported the full loop a while back, but the work done by Car_Killer over several months proves that a large, expansive map port can be done in BeamNG, while also being as optimized as possible for many users. It was fun beta-testing the map, especially on my budget gaming computer that I still have around even after getting a better gaming rig. While I was able to get away with 30 FPS on the former (with Normal graphics settings, 8 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 GPU), your results will vary for lower-end computers depending on hardware specs and graphics settings. As long as you can run the Italy map, you should have no problems with this map. (In case you're wondering, my current gaming rig can handle Ultra graphics settings just fine, meeting or exceeding the recommended hardware requirements for optimal 60 FPS gameplay.) So what are you waiting for? Try out the revived C1 Shuto map today and enjoy exploring around this famed location in Japan
The updated map is incredible: it's truly huge, goes perfect with the remastered Covet, and even runs decently on integrated graphics: Setting the LOD bias to something high also resolves the issue with small objects for now, I set mine to 600% and it has very little effect on FPS.
