I'd really like this car to be a variant of a modern Full-Size Pick-Up Truck lineup from Bruckell. I mean, the engines of the Bastion are in the common files and they're also up to the task (and even more than up to the task, when we talk about the 6.5 Supercharged V8) of moving this behemoth.

I also thought of the production lineup of the engines with the appropriate variants!
    • 3.5 V6 - SE (1500 chassis only, Standard Cab only, 5.5ft bed only)
    • 5.7 V8 - SE V8, Sport, Luxe (1500 chassis only, choice between Standard/Extended/Crew Cabs, choice between 5.5ft and 8ft beds)
    • 6.5 V8 - Sport GT, Luxe (choice between 2500/3500 chassis, choice between Standard/Extended/Crew Cabs, 8ft bed only)
    • 6.5 Supercharged V8 - Some crazy -hawk/-tail versions I'm already lusting after (2500 chassis only, choice between Standard/Extended/Crew Cabs, 5.5ft bed only)
Of course, on the Diesel front, some 6-cylinder Turbodiesel options would fill up some important niches in the BeamNG lore.
    • 3.0 Turbodiesel V6, like the RAM Ecodiesel - SE (1500 chassis only, choice between Standard/Extended/Crew Cabs, 5.5ft bed only - this engine can also get in the Bastion, for selling this car in Europe)
    • 6.6 Turbodiesel I6, for a nice and even 1.1l of displacement per cylinder - Sport GT, Luxe (choice between 2500/3500 chassis, choice between Standard/Crew Cabs, 8ft bed only)
Not to mention that the Bastion's 8-speed will be a good pair to all of the engines in this car too. Not to mention again that a modern Bruckell Full-Size SUV can also be based on the same Pick-Up Truck chassis. ;)

edit: I just realized that some variant names might not be making sense in an American Full-Size Pick-Up Truck. The SE, Sport GT and Luxe names could very well be replaced by some names like the "Craftsman", "Longhorn" and "Boss Rancher"/"Matador". These sound more macho, more appropriate for such a car.
Plus the luxury variant could also have a different name depending on the chassis: let's bring the "Luxe" name back for the 1500 but the 2500 is gonna be named the "Matador" and the 3500 will be the "Boss Rancher".

I, on the other hand, think this will be an ibishu because the devs post had the hopper hashtags. I don’t expect it to have only one engine like most modern Japanese trucks have, I expect it to be more American in that sense.

    You mean Leeloo's post?
That's actually an interesting expectation but the Hopper has to have an elongated chassis. Plus, why not just form the roll cage in the same shape as that of the existing 3-door Crawler Hopper but with the middle part elongated, in order to justify an upcoming 5-door version? After all, the car we see here looks longer than the Hopper.
Also, the panels up front look suspiciously curvy. The Hopper we know of has a simple slab of a panel with only a grille and two round headlights. That's why I think this is gonna be a modern Bruckell Full-Size Pick-Up Truck. Not to mention that I saw the classic Moonhawk/Bastion haunches on top of the arches once again! ;)

    Not Leeloo.

Antways, I also see the bricked design cues. But it’s a trophy truck and this usually all have pretty much the same design. We also don’t have a modern ibishu

Although I don't see the word "Hopper" written, I accept your Hopper theory.
But then again, maybe he meant the "Hopper" as what it does over various obstacles, like sand, rocks etc. and not as an actual variant to the Hopper. A word and mind game, in a few words. Time will tell anyways.
A modern Ibishu by way of a USDM Pick-Up Truck is very interesting indeed but I was thinking more about a better representative of the Japanese brand in the US: a modern FWD Midsize Sedan, like the Camry and Accord, with the usual transverse 2.5 I4/3.5 V6 engine options plus a CVT for the I4 and a modern (meaning not a 4-Speed and at least a 7-Speed) torque converter automatic for the V6. And a 2.5 Hybrid I4 with the CVT, once the Dev Team figures out the algorithms for Hybrid applications. I know, we already have two Pessimas but both are different generations, with very different design eras influencing them, so... Anyway, just a thought of mine.

With this post of yours in mind, I'd really like to see some high-performance variants of the Cherrier FCV Tograc. Versions like the Tograc 230SQ, S 270Q, S 310Q Arsenic, S 350Q and S 410Q Arsenic, with the same engines as the equivalent Vivace models, would be great because lest we forget about the fact that not all high-performance versions of the Vivace are AWD. Plus, the slightly higher ground clearance will prove beneficial in urban and/or mildly rough driving conditions.
If anything, the modern niche of the high-performance Crossover SUV is selling like hotcakes these days! ;)

First of all i want to say i really like your posts!
they always very detailed and have interesting options which would like to be implemented too.
I would really like a modern USDM Ibishu Truck especially with the various engine capabilities in mind ranging from anywhere like a I4 Diesel all the way up to a V8.

Thank you for your kind words! ;)
Hmmm, a modern USDM Ibishu Pick-Up would be great since we don't have such a car and we also have no 4-cylinder (turbo)diesel being relatively large for its cylinder content - say a 2.8 I4 Turbodiesel, like that of the Chevy Colorado and Silverado Pick-Ups. And a modern large Ibishu 2xDOHC V8 (like the Nissan VK56VD, found in the Nissan NV2500 and the Nissan Armada/Infiniti QX80) would be amazing, especially for the Stadium Super Truck variant we're discussing!;)

the modern Toyota I4 Diesel from the Land Cruiser, Hilux etc comes to mind when you say 2.8l
Yeah it would be a really cool addition and would yet fill another niche!

Plus an engine like this, albeit older, less powerful and less advanced, without the turbo, can also power the actual Hopper, for farming work, as we discussed in this forum some hundreds of pages ago! ;)
Oops, missed the Toyota 2.8 I4 Turbodiesel! :p

At least we have the possibility to customise the Tograc in the ways of a 270q or the S 410Q:) of course a standard sportier model would be nice! The Tograc is actually a joy to drive on mild off-road terrain, I like to test its capabilities on small island:) Furthermore, the Tograc fills a niche which is modern Mini SUVs (I hope I’m not mistaken)

I just thought of something concerning the coming etk remaster. We don’t know much about it yet and whether it’s the k and the 800 series… If the remaster also concerns the etk 800, I would love to see a quad turbo charged 3l Diesel engine with around 400hp like in the bmw m550d. I know it’s rather based on a 3 series but I would love to see a high performance diesel model, preferably as the first ever quad turbo engine:)

Lots of people talking about the new pickup truck, but I will spin the discussion towards what this teaser possibly means for upcoming (not yet announced) new map that was teased by tdev.

In my humble opinion, it would not make sense to create another Dakar-esque pickup truck (which does look like another American vehicle) unless you have prepared new features or a new map that could justify having two vehicles of the same class. In addition to that, it is hardly possible to drive these vehicles in the vanilla maps to the maximum, as compared to numerous videos of Dakar Rally event.

Regarding my theory about the teased new map - tdev stated that it would be "sunny" and "dry" which are the environments that pickup trucks like this, are racing through. So, I think that the new map in the pipeline would be set in the sunny and dry regions of Africa, Middle East or South America (coincidentally, where Dakar rally events took place) as these places have lots of gravel tracks, sand dunes, hilly terrain and places that allow for high-speed jumps and achieving great speeds. Of course, Africa (for e.g. Morocco), Middle East (Saudi Arabia, U.A.E) or South America, also have plenty of beautiful environments, unique villages, towns alongside modern cities, with plenty of tarmac highways too.
