The line dividing the travel directions should be yellow, even in cases where they are separated by a median. The white makes it look European.

Not game-breaking but, yes. Seems to be based on I-70 or I-80.

Right, not game breaking, but I can see the map maker made an effort to turn the line from yellow to white when the road sides are separated. That effort was counterproductive as it detracts from the authenticity of the map.

The center markings on West Coast USA are similar, they're often a mix of white and yellow:

That's not really wrong, as long as the lines marking the end of your direction and start of the opposite direction are yellow. That's the US standard.

Those lines are correct, but the stripes in the middle are supposed to be yellow too. Oddly enough the map has both, the stripes are yellow around the tram tracks and the Brittlebush St exit (although the latter are placed backwards) while others (particularly highway 54 in downtown Belasco) are white.

Yes, yellow stripes would look more compliant and typical for US in that spot. I haven't looked at the West Coast map much for this issue, but it seems that it was worked on by different artists with varying ideas of what the US looks like.

I had a brief look at West Coast and indeed there's some confusion and inconsistency. Here for example, there are yellow lines where there should be white lines.
