Awesome to see a 205 again in beamng, let me know if you need help like pictures or details on some 205 parts, i have one, not in the best condition but its baiscly a stripped out field car. Hope you would make it have a torsion beam axle (or whatever it is called) in the rear like the normal 205s have, the T16 version would be also very cool.
Some of you might've noticed that BeamNG v0.26 brought with it the long-awaited alpha-layering issue fix, which makes it worthwhile using glass for emission now. At the moment the covet, pessima mk1 and grand marshall all use that new technique to simulate light scattering on the glass reflector. I've looked into it a bit and it's fairly simple so I thought I'd give that treatment to the Picnic, which IMO makes the lights look a lot better than before now, as the light catches the reflector's normal map detail and makes it look a lot more like IRL. One thing I didn't manage to replicate though is how the glass looks when the lights are turned off. On the covet you can clearly see that it does look like there's some refraction going on, but I can't really figure out how it's done. So for now it's staying as-is on this Here's how it looks with that new method being used:
Could you please put before and after the fix was Deployed? Can't really tell much difference, maybe that would help
My only complaint about the new Covet taillights is how they look almost transparent from certain angles, to the point where it looks like bugged/inverted alpha blending. It kind of feels similar on front indicators here too, without proper reflection/refraction model, such transparent glass shows a little too much of the inside, IMO. Bruh
Thanks! Well, the torsion axle is a must since not only is the real deal, but also the stock Covet rear suspension will simply not fit with the wheels in place...so I'll borrow the system from the base Vivace. Current progress...the joys of jbeaming!
Under development... Been working on the engine for a few days and body for 1 so far and plan on getting the first fully working prototype done by next week. (my time to work on the engine is practically non existent, so thank god its done) Any opinions on what I could add? [edit] aaaaaaaaaaaaand my game crashed
