It's not that strange, actually reminds me of my BX which uses a similar naming scheme. The number is the engine size and the letters are the trim level

I love the updated Covet, although I can't believe there is no carbon fiber hood option... no way to recreate the Spoon Civic feelsbadman

    The MR is great

That's how IRL JDM car trims (I.E. Honda Civic) are named back then.

Just wondering...... the Type-L seems to be a facelifted model , but it's labeled as a 1986-92 model.....which make it sold at the sane time period of pre-lift model.
    Is this right?

It's a turbocharged mid engine RWD swap of a cheap low powered FWD hatchback... I'm surprised it can even drive straight at all

Ive noticed a small issue in the config of the covet. None of the turbo variants are equiped with the 'Turbo Steering' option. The factory turbo variant is equiped with the 'Quick Ratio Steering' which I believe is a mistake as its too fast for a street car of that age. The MR Turbo is equiped with the stock steering though not sure if thats a mistake since its a custom variant and not a stock turbo variant.

Fantastic car! Very polished. Great to drive and to look at. MR Turbo especially. It has brought me the best driving experience in beamng so far.

I have one complaint though. The ffb is particularly noisy on this car. I like a bit of weight and information coming through the wheel but the thing is off the scale.

Imo beam has come to a point where i can set my primary smoothing to zero without too many annoying jolts. (I have to admit I don’t understand the purpose of secondary smoothing, I have it set to “automatic”).

It works for most cars just fine without loosing any of the precious fidelity but not so much for the covet. I understand this sort of 80s shi… car :) would have a fairly “connected” steering feel, but it wants to shake my wheel apart every time I try to maneuver. Strange for a city moblie…

What’s funny is that the civetta bolide, which was notoriously “nervous” in ffb department seems much smoother after latest update. Considerably smoother than covet. It all doesn’t quite seem logical.

Just noticed that the km/h dials are a bit off. I was cruising at 55km/h and the dials were showing 50. I havent checked the other speeds yet but I assume it'll be a bit off as well. If its meant to be off like real cars then it should be showing a higher speed (usually 5 to 10 km/h more) and not a lower speed.

It also looks like the ECU on the Type-L and the Type-LS are backwards. The L has the higher revving zxi ecu while the supposedly more sporty LS has the 6500 rpm stock one.

Does anyone else think the rear wheel arches on the MRT are to round? I feel like they should be boxier.

I think the MR Turbo type lacks of tuners configs, which you have in the Front Engine kind.
A street race tuner config and a top speed, with the addition of a V6 swap from the Ibishu Pessima would be great.

Ngl, I was hoping a little bit for the steering pump position in jdm variants to be corrected in this update. Same goes for the automatic selector.

On the upper side the steering feels somewhat calmer. It has certainly sth to do with with the force multiplier being set lower for this car. But I suspect it's not the full story.
Generally ffb seems a bit meatier and more linear in this update, which is a welcome change.

Agree....I was also hoping they will "correct" the production year of the facelifted Type-L model. (As for this point , all the "facelift" model(according to description) are list as 1986-92 model , same as the older 1.5 DXi/LXi ones.

Speaking of which, where did the carbon fiber hood and liftgate go?
