    because there doesnt seem to be any career mode updates... i think... idk...
    although saying this there was a screenshot i saw with a mention of career mode but that could just be a mod? i am confused

    It's a preview and probably only for those that actually have an interest in it

    Defaults.json is not a whitelist, merely a list of default values. There is no migration procedure other than re-selecting your desired options in the Options menu.
    Can you elaborate what exact issue are you experiencing?

    There is a setting for default gearbox behavior in gameplay options. Are you sure it's not set to arcade?

    Lens Flares don't line up with the new reverse light textures.

    Also, why is there a space on the inside of the taillights that isn't illuminated?

    On a gamepad / Xbox controller, the force feedback only works when disabled. When enabled, no force feedback occurs.

    That screenshot does not seem to be displaying an XInput type of controller, but a DirectInput controller. Are you using any 3rd party drivers, 3rd party joystick emulators, special Steam Big Picture controller settings, etc?

    So how does the new traffic and the parked cars work?Will the parked cars be there without traffic, and how many more traffic cars could be spawned?

    I'm just using a wireless Xbox controller. (Specifically, the Forza Horizon 5 Edition, if that makes any difference.)

    The MR Turbo and Evolution has the interior muffling reversed, the inside is not muffled and the outside is muffled.

    Found one more thingy about the Covet and it's about the chronology: both the prefacelifted and facelifted variants have exactly the same 1986-1992 chronology. This must be corrected.

    They're like "low poly" physical collision models stored as different config and jbeam files in the vehicle zips:



    Reduced performance impact for each vehicle so you can spawn way more. From what I see they're only for certain vehicles. The pickup, hopper, van, and a few others are missing the "simple_traffic" jbeam variants:



    When you're using the circular menu traffic UI the game will check your settings and pick "simple" traffic if you have it enabled. Still not sure if this means the traffic system won't spawn any car model that doesn't have a simple variant but that's what I'm assuming. To use them in custom spawn groups (like for scenario traffic) you simply use a config file labeled "simple" instead of regular configs.

    the spaces seem to be reflectors. bit of a shame most cars in beam still dont have rear fog lamps
    also im hoping/assuming the odometer will be built upon more in future, as of now it's kinda cool but a bit of a gimmick. if it stored the total mileage for each vehicle (or ideally each config) during career mode and each reset as a trip it'd be great to help people find out how much theyve driven each vehicle they own in total

    Covet runner config does not spawn with a shifter.
