Maybe I misspoke, but I meant Havoc as an additional engine to the game, in the form of dynamic mud as in Spintires or destructible objects (poles, fences, fences, etc.)
Yep, especially when you change gear in a hurry, without even pushing the clutch pedal, a shifting sound would complement the gear grinding sound perfectly! Speaking of... can you imagine what the no-lift shift feature in a manual transmission would look and feel like in a modern BeamNG vehicle?
Speaking of sounds i know skid sounds were changed in an earlier patch but to update them again to more real authentic tyre kicking sounds would be great.
The Covet seems to be missing the mirrors in the teaser, imagine if they made the mirrors reflect the car and they don't want to spoil us about it
Why not, if they already added in the suport for multiple cameras then improved mirrors could finally be on the way
Interesting argument. I'll just say that we're seeing the absolute basic 1.5 DX version which, traditionally, has got no right mirror.
how many times I gotta say it They aren't doing 3 month updates anymore, it's just not feasible even if they wish they could 6 months is the new standard
Speaking of shifting, Float shifting will be pretty cool if it was added. I know you can float shift but you can only do it with luck and very low rpm which is not realistic. --- Post updated --- Agreed.
And they've said it before and haven't managed to do it then, so I suspect the game is just too much of a monster by now to completely develop and test a major update in 3 months Trust me, I'm a software developer and this shit is hard, especially when your goals are as open-ended, your project as innovative and your codebase as massive as BeamNG's Oh and did I mention Lua is dynamically typed, which makes it a royal PITA to debug once your project reaches BeamNG size
One thing I hope that comes in 0.26 is the ability to engage the Two-step with the clutch instead of the brake. It is a pain in the ass to do it on a steering wheel set as I along with most people do not have more than 2 feet
