Its look to similar to IFS.



I think that need to find someone in Japan who could ask/find any information about this.
In addition I'll look at Japanese auctions and ISUZU/HINO websites, maybe I'll find any documentation.

Just so you know why "nsb" is a bad name.
in the netherlands, this was called the NSB, and it supported a certain way of ruling a country and later it supported a certain Austrian person.
So please change the name

But in case of this project NSB means "Non-Step Bus".

 

Nope, definitely it is a solid front axle. It may have the option to have IFS, but the bus on the image certainly has a SFA.

 

Wow how did you find that? What did you search? But yeah, I haven't seen such a suspension either, it's strange because it's actually a low-floor bus

 

I've been through most of this before with the fullsized erga/blue ribbon so should be able to give some help/advice here.
For a start, japanese google is your absolute best friend for anything relating to references etc. Even just searching the name and then a google translated word for whatever you need will go a long way, and from there you can usually find good japanese blogs/twitter accounts/other resources. It takes a lot of trial and error to check these but once you find a good one you should be set.
One of the best resources for reference pictures is just wikimedia commons, there's tons of japanese people posting mostly high quality pictures of these, among other things, over there (although there's not typically much of the mechanical side over there)

I believe what you refer to as the facelift is technically a second generation of that series, as there's a few changes that would affect the main bodyshell (such as the shape of the destination display being much more rounded at the bottom and the headlight frame shape being changed just enough so that separate surrounding panels are needed). As far as I can tell these are still mechanically the same as the first gen, except from the hybrid versions. The duo you mentioned in the first place is an entirely different vehicle to my knowledge, at least the body is so I'm not sure how well that would blend in with the main mod.
One thing I've never been able to figure out myself is the difference between normal erga and erga mio/blue ribbon. The only thing I'm sure on is that the mio is a fair bit thinner than the full erga, and also appears to only have the shorter wheelbase versions while the standard erga gets the longer ones. Yours currently seems to reflect the width of the fullsized erga at the moment (length seems to be one of the middle ground ones both have available) but I could be wrong about that and there's a thinner and wider version available for both (wouldn't be the first time a japanese company, or even isuzu/hino have done that)

Other than that, mod seems to be at a very promising start. The armoured/police versions would be nice to see somewhere down the line, I've personally modelled some of the bits before (but they weren't very good) and I still have a good amount of the reference materials though if you ever need them (these seem to be hard to find on just google, I've been lucky enough to find enough twitter posts and even google maps references for them over the years)

 

That's a beam axle. 99% of heavy duty trucks/buses use beam axle or some sort of live axle. IFS is simply not worth the cost and complexity, as it the downsides outweigh the benefits significantly in such cases.

 

On places with better roads and low entry/low floor buses, IFS is slowly creping into the bus market, especially because it frees up space between the front wheels. Some trucks are getting IFS too (Volvo has IFS as optional for the F-series in Europe).

 

Perhaps for very new models, but anything pre-2010 is most certainly going to have a beam axle.

Some news after two months.

1. Some progress in 3D (adapted suspension and frame from DT40, custom rims and some headlight details).

2. Literally now buyed original Erga manual on auction (from LV290). Now most boring part - waiting when it be delivered (I think around two months (Sea delivery is pain)).

Good news for all who dont forget about this project.

After 3 months (afaik reason is some logistic issues) ship with manual finally is out from Japan. Now just wait when it be delivered to me - smth around 1-1.5 months (I hope).
