    Out now!

    Wentward 5000 Series

    The road to success

    Lore

Wentward 5000 Series is a series of heavy duty trucks based on the Gavril T-Series produced by Wentward from the years 1981 to 1996. It may not look that different, but in reality the Wentward 5000 featured a shorter front end, different interior, 3 different frame options - 5060, 5070 and 5070 Extended and much more. It was offered with multiple engine options ranging from V6 and I6 diesel engines to V8 diesel engines. The engines used in these trucks were designed and produced by Knightonn and Gavril Trucks. To the Engine of your choice you could either attach any gearbox of your choise.

The Wentward 5000 Series was sold in the United States and even in Australia. Australian spec Wentwward 5000 Series was offered with the same engine options but it had a right hand drive cab and taller air cleaners just so the truck would not suck in dirt when driving on the Australian roads.

Among the conventional long nose trucks the 5000 Series also was offered in a not so conventional C.O.E bodystyle. It was only sold in 1 generation of 5000 Series wich means it was sold from 1989 to 1996. Offered among the engines were only the TCR11/15 engines from Gavril Trucks.

(Download Link for the C.O.E 5000 Series will be available here as soon as it is finished.)

    Current state of the cabover:

if anyone is wondering how the cabover progress is going it aint going nowhere currently since i dont have the time or the motivation for it

    - make an extended cab wich would mean i need to make a different frame and exhaust (medium)
    - jbeaming work (semi-medium)
    - make a good sleeper interior for the extended cabover (semi-medium)

extended cab will probably be coming at a later date, aka after alpha release

This looks very promising and beautiful! Especially with the parts and the general modelling of everything. It's also nice you're including a flatbed with a wall and proper, good looking rear fenders. Although I do have one question, did you model and jbeam the 3-axle frame (which I'm assuming is the 5070) and the angry looking visor? It looks awfully similar to the ones included in the T-Series Expansion Pack by GTG Mods.
also im suprised nobody said this but this reminds me of the wentward dl-series (the wentward t-series rebadge)

Yes i indeed did, i modelled and jbeamed them myself, those were just a bit of an inspiration
(and yes, im aware of the dl-series, the author of that mod has seen my work aswell and he liked it)
    --- Post updated ---

Yes, currently there are 4 engine options wich of 2 are based on/inspired by detroit diesel engines

And I'm presuming you made the materials of the visor yourself as well?

Are you gonna make some with sleepers? Also, will this be separate from the T-series in the vehicle selector

added chicken lights, hood mirrors, edited bugshield from T-Series and about 5 more bumper options aswell as the tires from the d-series prerunner so it gives the truck a more classic look

Goodness me, the productions of this is going very well! I especially like that bullbar and the fact that the lights are on the bumper, I don't think I've seen a public mod ever have that before. Keep up the good work!
