Probably not since I want it to keep the D-series cab without much modification. The only change it has currently to a barebones D-series cab is the modified firewall, otherwise it is the same. I decided to keep it this way because it is also how the real Kodiak is, using a Chevy pickup cab

In 1993 it got a facelift along with the D-series, introducing the new sloped hood which proved to be a major success and all later models would adopt it. Dubbed the C-series internally, the Durham is a capable truck that can do many tasks.

Some things I'd like to mention, or a Q&A:
"yoU cOpIeD dArT/Ar162B/whomever!" No. I did not copy anybody else trying to make a "D55". This is my take at a medium duty truck from Gavril, inspired by the Chevy Kodiak.

Q: Will it be paid?

A: Most likely not. I may make a patreon or such for early access, but otherwise, I have no plans to make the base mod paid. There may be paid extras such as dedicated engine sound recordings, but I've yet to decide on anything like that.

Q: Can I download it?

A: Not yet.

Q: When relez?

A: I really, truly, sincerely have no answer for this. In the state it is, I can release it with some minor polishing work, but I don't want to release it without it having no unique parts to it. So ideally, I'd like to add plenty more tailor made things to it, then I will consider releasing.

List of current plans:

I decided to add this section to minimize people requesting things that are already planned. "Planned" does not necessarily mean that it is guaranteed to be made, it just means I've acknowledged it and that I will consider making it.

General:

Early model (70's)
Later model (2002-2006 & 2006 - 2017)
Cabover variant (akin the Chevy T-series, based on the cab of another truck)
3 axle chassis
4+ axle chassis
Low profile tires
Taller cab (akin the real Kodiak)

Upfits:

School bus
Tour bus
RV
Firetruck
Utility bed
More flatbeds (Dovetail, gooseneck, utility flatbed and so on)
Tanker (gas, liquid, food)
Bigger box body (with part over the cab and such)
Tow truck body
More dumpers (small 2 axle for municipal snow clearing vehicle, 3 and 3+ for other things)
Grain dumper
Beverage truck (and trailer)
Armored bank truck
4 vehicle carrier

I am assuming you already know this but for clarification if you were to make a taller cab just use the H-Series cab. The real Kodiak uses a Chevy Express chassis cab.

The GMT530 Kodiak's did not, which is what I based mine off of. The later gen (gen 3, 02-06) will also have a pickup cab, but will be similar to an F650 in design. The gen 4 06-201x model would have the van cab.

This variant here (gen 2) will have the same interior options as the prefacelift and intermediate D-series, however only the gray one would be offered from factory to reduce costs

Edit: Here's some ear candy for all the diesel fans out there (count me in too!)
