This mod replaces the 2017 body for the FR17 with a slightly modified version to make it look like a 2022 car. Besides that, I'm working on changing its physics to make it feel like a 2022 car. the only issue is that I don't have the 18-inch tires they are using this year. if someone could help me with that it would be greatly appreciated.

I also don't know how to add the front winglets, I have thought about editing the added aero and changing the position

i think u shouldnt replace the 2017 body but add a new one based of the 2017 one so we dont loose the 2017 cars

Ok, I will try to do and include a new model, just that I don't know how to add another body. But I'll try to learn.

No. But it would be kind of an add-on to the FR17 itself most likely. Not an entirely different mod.

I think it will be a bit too hard to make it feel like a 2022 car, considering that it rely heavily on ground effect, whereas the FR17 didn't. But if you could, "porpoising" should be fun on beam :D

Thank you. I will test it this afternoon.

I actually had done it in the past. What I did is increase the downforce in the body and decrease it in the front and rear wings.

Update: I've managed to load the 2022 parts as a separate body from the 2017 and 2018 cars. The only thing left for me to do is some bug fixes.
The textures don't load in the 2022 body. And the front wing parts that I edited. appear offset to the side. other than that, I think I just need to import the tire winglets. I've also successfully managed to recreate the physics of 2022 cars, high-speed corners are easier to take.

Update 2: Successfully loaded the entire body in. But I still need to fix the no textures part and the wing being out of place

There is a "materials.cs" file. But how am I supposed to include the 2022 body in a file? In which it didn't even exist in the first place?. I know how to read everything, just that I don't know how to make the textures get mapped to it. I don't know if there is a way to map the textures.
Edit: I have found both files in the zip file.

This is what I see in the file. What do I need to edit then to fix the no texture bug?

or maybe its a material issue in blender
    --- Post updated ---
it can also be that the body u created doesnt have a material cs file or smthing. if i were i would ask someone like solarpower or someone who actually knows how to mod. i just know the basics

I have just remembered a tutorial I watched, maybe it will work. Thanks for helping me with all this and genuinely being interested.

So, an update. I still can't manage to load the textures. I might resort to making another FR17 zip file, with the 2022 and 2018 bodies. If I learn modding better (or someone helped me to fix it, I might make it a normal addon.

Successfully created a "copy" of the FR17 mod. With the 2022 parts

I also decided to call it a 2021 mod as well as a 2022 one. Since the wing looks like a 2021 car with the 2018 body (the only thing you would need to do is remove the side aero and other things).

So. I have decided that I'm going to release a "Beta". So that you can try it and give me feed back if you want to.
