Gavril Bisquette: Based on Mk1 and Mk2 Ford Escort. The rough configs could be as follows (for both versions): 1.1 L: 1.1 OHV, 4 speed manual. 2-door and 4-door. The most basic Bisquette. No options, basic vinyl interior, steel wheels with hubcaps. 1.3 GL: 1.3 OHV, 4 speed manual. 2-door, 4-door, 2-door wagon. A step up from the L, including nicer vinyl interior, maybe with fabric inserts, more luxurious hubcaps and an AM radio. 1.3 Sport: 1.3 OHV, 4 speed manual. 2-door. Same as the GL, except the entry level sports model. for the engine a larger carburetor and a higher lift camshaft for more performance, sports suspension, alloy wheels and a sporty appearance package such as bonnet and side stripes. 1.6 Deluxe: 1.6 OHV, 4 speed manual and 3 speed automatic. 2-door, 4-door, 2-door wagon. Builds on the GL with exclusive chrome trim, alloy wheels, vinyl roof, sunroof, plasti-wood in the interior, higher quality vinyl interior and upgraded audio (two speakers). 1.6 Super Deluxe (Named after a famous luxury brand or styling house): 1.6 OHV, 4 speed manual and 3 speed automatic. 2-door and 4-door. Top of the range for the non-sporty models. Think the Vanden Plas version from Austin in the 70s. The highest quality leather upholstery, real wood throughout the interior, elegantly styled alloy wheels and even more exclusive chrome trim, highest quality vinyl roof and full length fabric sunroof. Even picnic tables in the back of the front seats for rear passengers. 1.6 Sport: 1.6 OHV, 4 speed manual. 2-door. Similar to 1.3 Sport. The engine gets a high lift camshaft and a larger carburetor. Additional changes would be sportier suspension compared to 1.3 Sport, wider motorsport inspired alloy wheels, bucket seats, sports steering wheel, rear ducktail spoiler, bumper mounted fog lights and the option for a sunroof and vinyl roof. 2.0 Super Sport: 2.0 OHC, 4 or 5 speed manual. 2-door. The highest level regular sports version. Includes the changes as in the 1.6 Sport, however it includes further mechanical changes including revised suspension, bigger brakes, limited slip differential, front air dam, wider wheels and tires and sportier graphics. This version could also have an aerodynamic front too. 2.0 Rally Homologation: 2.0 DOHC with 5 speed manual. 2-door. The ultimate sports version, similar to the super sport, except with a more basic interior for lightness, club sports level suspension, close ratio transmission, a half cage and extra instrumentation. The most fundamental changes being the race derived DOHC engine and transmission. Another fundamental change could possibly be a 4-link and or watts linkage for the rear axle. So many other configs could be possible, I highly recommend viewers have a look at how much variety of customization is possible for them. I have a few ideas for those too. Custom V8 Swap/Hot Rod version: Customized version with in period visual modifications from the 1970s, the biggest change would be the engine to one of the smaller V8s as you would find in say the Gavril Barstow. Modern 2.0 Turbo engine swap: Take one of the sports version, modify the chassis with adjustable suspension and modern brakes, include wider wheels and grippy tires and use the Homologation rear suspension/axle but more importantly drop in a modern 2.0 Turbocharged engine. Power could be around 300hp approx, but could include adjustable boost up to say 50-600hp. Modern race version: Similar to the above, however is built for full on track use with full racing suspension, slick tires, full roll cage, aero such as deep front air dam and high level spoiler. The ultimate track version. Modern hillclimb version: Almost the same as the above, however it is setup for hillclimbing rather than track use.
