Unsolved Editing other mods

    Would I be banned or have any action taken against me if I edited someone elses mod?
    its a license plate mod and i just want to change the country its from, then upload it to the repo

    always ask for permission from the original author

    idk if they are active since its a mod from february 11th 2021 and their last mod update was march 22nd last year

    doesn't matter, always ask for permission before making any edit to someone else's work. If they don't reply or say no then you shouldn't proceed.

    I suggest always getting the mod authors permission first if you intent to upload it here, but if they do provide you with permission, ALWAYS credit them in your mod somewhere as a little gift to them so they dont get upset with you

    If you dont want to upload it here, then theres no problem editing files without permission since its kept private to you, what ever you do on your computer is your own thing, and the permission of the mod author isnt required for that
