How to permanently edit a map?

Ive been trying to figure this out for a while,
I use a few maps and there are some things that i delete from them every single time i use them, but i cant seem to make it permanent,
If anyone can help please let me know

 

Firstly, make sure that you are always saving your changes in world editor. Secondly (which might be your main problem), you might not be transferring your changes to the actual map. As always, make sure that the map you're making changes to is unpacked. Then, go to appdata/local/beamng.drive/0.24/levels, this folder includes your changes.

Basically you want to transfer the folder which has the name of your map (from the levels folder) into your unpacked map folder, however make sure that you transfer the folder into unpacked/your_map/levels, and not just in the your_map folder. If windows bugs you about the same folder name and replacing, just make sure to accept and replace everything. That should permanently save your changes meaning that if you pack your level, the changes are present. If you have any questions, feel free to ask

Finally got around to trying to edit a map, and it did actually work, but it didnt save the terrain editing i did even though i put the files it said i edited in the correct places
Any idea what could be going on?

 

I don't exactly have a clue, it's been a few months since I've last tried map editing. It could be because of the new update, however I'll check when I have the time
