But it doesn't make sense for the popped-off (and totally disconnected from the rest of the body) doors to just latch on again when the (also non-functional at this point) pretend button to open/close them is pressed. The latch isn't supposed to engage once the door has been popped off, is what I want to say. Watch the video they posted closely
When you press that button you push the door back into the still functional latch, making it appear as if it was closed.
But that button wouldn't even work anymore once the door is detached from the body? I think I'm just confusing myself at this point...
The doors still work, what doesn't work is the fancy hydraulics that open them. It's just like closing your car door normally, the pyrotechnics don't destroy the latches.
I'm having a problem with my g920 where the force feedback follows the car direction only until around 25 degrees and then stops and becomes weightless, I tried many cars that used to work before.
Another bug (I think): Headlights and/or full beams don't illuminate as much sometimes. In investigation I initially thought it was due to the windscreen in cockpit view, but it actually seems to have something to do with FOV. Cockpit view (low FOV): High FOV: Low FOV: As I zoom in and out, I can see the light reflection from the car in front dissapear and reappear.
So I tried 0.25, but many mods outright refused to work. I sure hope the devs will come up with a hotfix that can allow better mod support in the future.
There is no apparent way to turn the SSAO quality up for normal gameplay, I think that might be what's causing the black trees
its most likely because each update changes or removes certain things that mods require to work for example the light bars, most light bar mods that use vanilla light bars like RPL are broken so its up to the author of the mod to keep them up to date
As some have said before, the driver camera behaviour while standing still IS indeed very annoying. It makes checking for traffic at intersections impossible and parking quite difficult aswell. Also I really dislike all the red/green flashy boxes appearing everywhere, I do hope that some day I will be able to disable them. Otherwise a good update, the game feels a lot smoother and just looks far more complete than ever before. Only the mission system seems a bit unstable for me, but I have not yet had the time to really dig into that. Until then enjoy a "light show" - I suppose an epilepsy warning is required for it.
In my opinion, one should at least be able to enable the option to look around when standing still without the camera snapping back, it’s nice when you want to inspect the interior and for parking it’s good as well in my opinion (there is a button to Center the camera btw). Concerning the buttons in the interior: I like them but I agree with you, that there should be an option to disable the green/red lights
