Game stuck at 1.8fps

I downloaded a new map from beamng, and when I spawn a vehicle, the frame rate sticks at 1.8 frames per second. No matter how many times I relaunch, redownload, respawn, any vehicle, the game is stuck at 1.8 frames per second. There was one time where I got the frrame rate to actually go to normal levels, but then the map UI got stuck on the screen so I had to reload.

Okay, so what map? What specs? Seems like a mod based on your usage of 'normal maps.' We have no clue how to help when you don't give us the key information.

 

It's the need for speed most wanted map. I have an intel i5 2500 and an nvidia gt 1030, and 16gb of ram. It seems like when I first download the map, it works fine with a normal frame rate, but when I open it again, it stops working. I have tried this twice and that seems to be the issue. So I don't think it's my computer, just a weird glitch.
By "normal levels" I meant normal frame rates, not normal maps.

Nevermind, it just seems like the mod will just work fine when it feels like and there is no consistent pattern.

It turns out that the map will only work the first time I download it from modland.com.
It's super weird. The other source on the forum never worked for me.

Ok this is my final theory. I download the version from modland, it works. I then load a different map. Then I try this map again, and it gets stuck at 1.8fps. I then have to delete it, download the forum version, load that, delete it, then download the modland source and it will work fine at 30fps again. It's super weird and I have no idea how it happens.

 

Well that's because it's from modland, it probably clashes with other maps and causes problems. Delete it.

No, I meant the one from modland works on the first launch but the one from the forum just doesn't work at all.

edit: nvm just saw you said it previously.

Your system is not meeting recommended requirements, your GPU is especially FAR under recommended requirements. Expect things like this, especially on not-so-well optimized mods.

 

It can still mess with the forum map, but the need for speed map is probably not well optimized if i remember correctly, just use another map.

 

I made sure neither versions were in my folder before downloading again, each time.
