phone go brrr --- Post updated --- yeah that out of focus thing is really annoying, no suprise though because they said it's experimental
Proton runs games better on linux, wine does sometimes run better but proton will be better 90% of the time. The devs dont support proton anyway, proton has its own fair share of issues.
When will BeamNG support OpenVMS on Itanium, smh Jokes aside, I find it odd that we haven't seen any more teasers for the Covet...
proton or wine doesn't make a big difference in most cases from my experience, at least not wine-GE and GE-proton or what it's called now wine-GE and lutris have the benefit of having a more usable interface for changing options
It could very well mean that we're not getting it right away but in 0.25.1 or so and that 0.25 itself is just for the Pizza Pasta car and the graphical improvements
btw I know this isn't really related to this, but I just got a steam update for beamng, and now almost every file is missing, verifying game files says All 0 Files verified correctly
on the topic of experimental linux support and all my core game files deleted: ( Steam - Error While updating BeamNG.drive an Error occured (missing Executable) More info on the Steam-supportwebsite. )
Try uninstalling and reinstalling it , It might be linked to the new branch, you might just have to wait until it's fixed at the update.
nah didn't fix it, I have another copy for beammp, I'll play on that until it's fixed, but it's a bit annoying... At least my prefix was only moved, not deleted, so all my mods are still there
imo you should add it, it plays a big role in how a manual car drives and feels, yeah it will be strange or a bit confusing but honestly if you add it and make it a feature and mention it i'm pretty sure that it'll be well received, i mean it's Beam in the end, simulation is the point of it, you should reconsider it for an update because your clutch simulation feels so good already and having differents clutches giving a different bitting point is a key part of what makes a car feel different from another
I think it doesn't make sense to just add it by itself, it would be better to see it together with some other transmission feature (such as damage for autos or torque limits)
Yeah of course, didn't think about it but that's not like beam updates are never filled with new content so didn't need to say it because well it was obvious for me that it'll come packed with something else linked to it too, since it's already supported and most work has been done for this it's actually pretty easy to add it, the rest idk should ask Diamond but yeah i'm pretty sure that it will come since it had a good reception, Beam is a sim in the end so there's no doubt people won't complain
