I could not be more thankful, BeamNG devs, for making such a marvelous game. Happy 10 year anniversary BeamNG.drive.

10 years of improvements but I still miss these big clouds of particles like in that video above or these screenshots below.

Strangely I loved driving offroad with normal cars in this game just to see clouds of mud and dirt. Combined with car physics it was satisfying to see cars slowly bend and twist. You really could feel each impact, especially on old Industrial Site.

I have a memory of someone complaining that the particles were too much, so they were heavily reduced. I still prefer the old particles.

This simulator and this community have been an amazing part of my life. I grew up playing this game and I still play it. This game is what got me through school, college, and hard workdays. It seems like not long ago I saw the release and immediately started playing it on my slow laptop. This game is what got me into building pcs. All I can say is thank you to everyone. I love BeamNG

I found out about BeamNG through a school project back in 6th grade, I was doing a project on the differences between the transportation methods in Europe to the United States, and I was watching a video on the topic when I was suggested the ETK I Series Trailer video. (The video was only one month old at the time) I couldn't believe how amazing it looked by 2016 standards. I had a 2011 MacBook and was determined to find a computer to run it. I eventually used my old Acer Aspire 722 and ran the techdemo. I finally saved up for a PC that could run the game and I bought the game on Dec 31, 2020, and I have since played it for 2036 hours

Bloody hell, 10 years haha, I first encountered BeamNG back in 2013 when NerdCubed played it, then found fellow Beam Tubers like YBR, Nadeox1, Cristineltr etc.
Crazy how time passes, I bought the game not long after (I think in late 2013 / early 2014) and made a forum account in 2016 when I eventually bought it on Steam. How the game has changed, so much content and still regular updates. Happy Birthday Beam!!! :D

    Have some nostalgia :D :

Did you come over from Rigs of Rods? I know there's a handful of the OG Rigs of Rods forum members left.

I also signed up for an account as soon as I saw registration was open. Been here ever since and wouldn't trade it for anything. I love the creativity this game allows, especially with the Automation cross over. Scratches an itch in my brain I've had since I was a little kid.

Been playing the game for about 114 out of the 120 months of its existence. Couldn't ask for a better soft-body physics simulator. Keep up the great work!

    well i am late.
    but
I bought the game in late 2016. Crazy, that was 5 and a half years ago.
My steam transaction history shows that i initally bought it on December 22, but refunded it and bought it again 5 days later.
If i remember correctly i got a broken copy, or i just saw "Sale" and decided to get myself like 2.5€ back lol.
I love BeamNG. I have dunked almost 1000 hours into it.
Onto another 10 years of the most realistic crash simulator in existance!

My story on how I found BeamNG.Drive:
It began somewhere in 2016, I saw this video uploaded by Insanegaz, called "Cars VS Trucks"
After watching the video, I first thought It was some kind of animation, Later I forgot about it, then I began seeing more videos of it,
and after like 3 years I found out that the videos were of a game called "BeamNG.Drive" I wanted to play it but at that time I didn't have a laptop that could even barely run the game, Then in 2020, My dad brought me a new laptop, and Then, I BROUGHT IT! it was the best decision of my LIFE!
At the starting I thought it was a game of just crashing cars, then I realized how realistic the game actually was, And then I joined the BeamNG.Drive Forums in around 2021, and then I found this community! And I'm glad to be a part of it :)
And in 2022, here I am writing this message :)

Hope you enjoyed my little "Story"
(phew that took like 5 mins to write)

10 years wow. I first started playing this game probably about the time Utah came out. I remember being excited af for it. I had to play it on a friend's PC, because I didn't even have a P.C.

Hi all, I've been here for almost 8 years, ~2014. In that time, I've seen so much change and progress in Beam from the moment I set my wheels here. This game has given me the most fun a videogame could ever give someone, and that is something that still rings true to this very day. I am so thankful for the amazing Devs and for the game they have created. I am so thankful to be involved with this community, and I'm so thankful that this community has helped me collaborate on ideas and various bits and bobs of who-knows-what. In less words, thank you.

    Best,
    Stiggy111
