yep, letting off the gas is a deathwish because of the swing axle, at certain times the wheels can angle basically like \------/
Actually it isn't a swing axle, but it behaves the same way, since it has lots of camber gain and jacking (this kind of happens on the 200BX eith stock rear struts). You can kind of solve it by lowering and maybe stiffening the suspension too
Tested the brakes more methodically and found that my issue is less rear wheels locking than the fronts not locking? All vanilla cars without ABS(and all cars without ABS I have driven IRL) lock the front wheels before the rear wheels, if ever locking the rear wheels at all. But on the 126p I seem to be unable to properly lock the front wheels even with race brakes installed in the front. Still, this might be accurate to real life, but sure is annoying
Ok this is really weird and shouldn't be happening, I have never noticed it and no idea why it could be a thing, will take a look --- Post updated --- So I double checked my calculations and indeed you are right, they were wrong for the drum brakes and rally disc brakes. Indeed the rear brakes had a bit too much torque while the front ones had way too little. Fixed for hotfix, they now lock up about at the same time, depending on your current weight distribution. The bigger ones on standard wheel hubs are now visibly better than the smaller ones on the old wheel hubs too.
Legacy sound is just the sound from the old version converted to modern format, it is bad because it's badly recorded It was really hard to tune the gearboxes in a way that all of them work on all engines with all RPM ranges, maybe the rally one should have adjustable shift points, idk I can't fix GPS breaking with windshield, if it didn't and the windshield would split in multiple parts then it would stretch, so it's better like this I am not getting the same error as in 1.0, nobody else is getting it, only you, must be an issue on your end Speedo needle looping around is intentional because it's funny
Could you help me? Ive tried installing the mod in my mod folder but it's still not appearing in my repository am i doing something wrong?
You just download the .zip file from the first post in this thread & put the downloaded .zip into the mods folder. It should appear in the car list after that
Yeah I tried that but I think my files are screwed because I have several mod folders so now just trying to figure it out but im not technologically minded to be honest
I'm not sure exactly how much more I can help... after downloading to downloads folder, highlight the zip file by clicking on it once, as I've already done in the image above. -> Then use ctrl+c to copy it. Move to C:/Users/[YOUR_NAME_HERE]/AppData/Local/BeamNG/0.24/mods, and then use ctrl+v to paste it there. If you can't see appdata, you need to show "hidden items" in file explorer. You might notice I've pasted it in the repo subfolder. This is technically incorrect but will still work. I like to do this to keep all my mods in one place, but you're supposed to keep forum mods in mods, and only have repository mods in repo. I hope this helps, reply if you have any problems!
Even better, just go to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\BeamNG.drive\latest.lnk" and then "mods". Much more straightforward and you won't face an issue of someone not know what to put in the [YOUR_NAME_HERE] field or if they happen to use a different version for whatever reasons that might be.
but then they have to type it, instead of just navigating there... I do see the advantage to what you said though
There's a bunch of broken stuff in the uploaded version as it turns out, no idea when it happened and why, but some Jbeams are broken and others are straight up missing. In my local version they show up properly, in this one not. For some reason this one also seems to handle worse than my one??? Some weight distribution stuff must be messed up I guess... I am investigating this issue. Seems like a Google Drive related error with files updating wrong or something. If that is the case then probably none of the testers ever had the same version as I had lol. Hopefully hotfix will resolve it. I have no idea how I haven't noticed this kind of thing until now.
