Are you ever satisfied with what the devs are doing? You complain when you think it'll be faster than the SBR, you complain when you think it'll be the same performance class as the SBR... One is a high end new Italian MR V-block and the other is a 10 year old Japanese volume RR/R4 F-block, they aren't even really stepping on the other's toes and definitely have room to have their own personalities. Yeah the SBR definitely needs some TLC, but remastering an old vehicle and getting a new one are not mutually exclusive options.
I'm not a badge snob! The Corvette has always been a sports car in the "C" versions, with Supercar power and manners for the versions higher than the "Cs" (Z51, GrandSport, Z06, ZR1). But the C8 is a real upgrade to the dynamics of the Corvette so now we can say it really is a Supercar right from the base version, when equipped with the Z51 pack of course (500hp, 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, that time is Ferrari F8 Tributo territory)! And I just realized that I forgot to put the C8 in the meme!
For me, the front clearly looks like a McLaren. And I'd say the rear looks like a sort of Bugatti or something. Also, don't forget that perspective could make this car look shorter that it is. We are still yet waiting to see the width of the car too, tho. The Bugatti Veyron is a supercar and it's not that long of a car.
Wait, it just occurred to me, does anyone know the dimensions of the grid or those concrete blocks it's on? If the blocks are 1x1x1 meters, then it's easily longer than 4.5 meters, putting it squarely in Lambo territory. I could be totally wrong Still disappointed it "only" has a V8, but... I mean, it's not really a matter of performance, more of prestige. A V8 is lighter, more reliable and can make just as much power as a V12 of similar size, plus considering Civetta's pedigree, this one probably has some kind of forced induction anyway... I just don't have enough information!
It's still an absolute unit in terms of width --- Post updated --- Don't worry, somebody will probably mod all the engines you could possibly think of into it
In my uneducated opinion, it will be a V8 at least but there looks to be enough room for a V10 as well, however, it would need to be 5 - 5.5L in size, maybe 6L at most to still be more of a "revvy" engine rather than pure torque, but nothing close to something like the Viper with its' dumptruck-sized 8L+ V10
Well, I've been checking lengths of supercars, and sportscars and I'd say there's not really that much of a difference. For example, the Gallardo is still longer than the Agera. And that's straight doesn't look as a Elise or something because we still have no bumpers, nor the rear or front. That could easily add 30cm or more to the car. So I'd say it's a supercar in terms of length.
Given the track-record, no. But imo that's fine. Sometimes people bring up good points, sometimes they don't. But if they are indeed valuable, I'd rather have them then not.
aight bois, here's what we got: 1 - No roof, probably a targa top version coming, just like the Bolide 2 - (probably) the first car with beefy ceramic disc brakes and big ass calipers. Not even the SBR4 TT S2 have something like this. Only cars with 500hp + have those things, so it's on expectation something in that range or more 3 - being a 2nd decade 21st century supercar, we can expect turbo engine options (or turbo engines only), which i have the impression to seen in the picture 4 - for the same reason as number 3, we can also expect only automatic transmission for this car, which we can see in the picture by the lack of gear lever (i hope to be wrong for this one) 5 - the nothingness-skeleton-look-like rear end reveals the lightness of the car. Someone here even mentioned to be a carbon fiber body 6 - this one came from my mind, but it's worth it to discuss: probably a flat plane v8 for this one, only based on the resemblance that the engine has with Ferrari ones. The fourth exhaust pipe that you're looking for may be just be behind that plate there. but this one could be the voices on my head speaking, idk. The engine layout for this car is having a strong discussion here now 7 - there's a door scuff plate which is barely noticeable, but it is there. A nice little detail touch since we can't open the doors without mods or destroying the car 8 - it may have the side vent coming from the door, based in the lack of door plate in the up part 9 - the black windshield frame reveal a two-tone color option this is my speculation, that's all i could see. sorry for my bad English and feel free to add things to the list, disagree and everything
There was a time when I was, but then a friend with a very specific vision of this game accused me of being too accepting of what the devs are doing. Come to think of it, we aren't actually friends anymore, so screw it, I think it looks nice. I would *personally* prefer remasters of existing content to be prioritized, but that doesn't exclude a new car being added once in a while.
To be completely honest, i'm not a fan of the design of the thing The rear of the car just doesnt really seem sleak but rather a little bulbous and chunky, like a bugatti veyron for example. The windshield length and angle are also not as sporty as they could be. in this car i see boilde esque design langauge in its proportions but im really unsure if i like that. it could have been more sleek, more flat, less round and just sharper in the rear. i really like the front based off of design sketches, but the rear is not something i can really get used to. the rear being a little more akin to the mc20 would have been nice, wtih a less deep rear window line, lower rear and just looking way flatter and sportier. I get that the beamNG devs are not professional automitive designers but i feel like they never really nail how a modern car is supposed to look (or a supercar/sportscar for that matter)
I tried to recreate this thing as closely as I could based on the lines on the ground. If that's correct, it appears to be much larger than an SBR4. Both have their front suspensions aligned on the front cube, but the supercar's rear suspension goes much further back than the SBR's.
Let's add a little more to the speculation, and the hype of the car... Dimensions wise, is it bigger/longer than the sbr4 or bolide? Other than that, I for one am astounded by the pure detail of the model...of the bare chassis...can't wait to see it with everything on it!
Idk, it looks like it has enough room to fit a V10 and comfortably so. Plus, the engine has quite a bit of it hidden behind the chassis rails. Only 3 cylinder chambers are shown, with the two ends of the engine quite possibly hiding a cylinder each.
If u count the coils on top of the valve cover, u can clearly see 4...I'd say it's safe to assume it's a v8, but a v10 is easily feasible
Yep, I think I have to agree on this one, there seem to be 4 coils per side but ok, not the absolute entirety of the engine is visible. But it's certainly a V8, to the very least.
