Maluch JBeam rebuild

    I wouldn't call it the best because the model could be a lot better and some textures too, but for working with what we had, I think we did a pretty good job and I like how it turned out. Version 2.0 with a new model (probably far in the future) will be even better.

    About 2/3 of configs had automated testing performed so far. There are so many configs that it's not possible to do them all in 1 day anymore. Not sure when I'll have time for the remaining ones, maybe tomorrow, maybe later. Then only new thumbnails will be left before final testing.

    Not in this version, they had special features that would need a lot of work, such as: special taillights with built in reverse lights, thick protective side trim, special engine bay sound suppression system, special seats, unique interior colors, materials and patterns, and special paintjobs. Way too much work for now. But will most likely be in version 2.0.

    All configs tested and various tiny issues fixed with some model shading, textures and Jbeam. Time for thumbnails now. I'm really tired.

    I did some final crash testing with comparison to the old version...

    I won't lie, the deformation still isn't as good as I would have wanted, looks janky especially in the interior, but there are several reasons why I'm leaving it like this:
    • It's still a lot better than the old one, I actually knew what I was doing here. Not only crashing, but more importantly driving is way better, suspension behavior, drivetrain specs, aero, realistic speed, weight distribution too, and of course the customization, probably the main highlight of the mod now. And all the new models and textures made by many people turned out so good.
    • Most of these issues only happen in head-on collisions, which are practically really rare. And up until 40 km/h head-on is fine, and above 100 even some vanilla cars have issues.
    • I honestly have no idea how to fix some issues, I tried many things, it might as well be the model's fault because it's badly made and high poly.
    • The hood and glass problems also the Piccolina suffers from, I thought redoing the Jbeams from scratch would fix them, but it didn't, I guess the game just hates this kind of curved surfaces on the model.
    • It was one of my first Jbeams ever and my first full car Jbeam, I have redone a lot of it since the first attempt but not all, so it's natural that there are issues. I also haven't made any other full car so I still lack experience, I probably wouldn't be able to do much better if I tried again.
    • You have no idea how much work Jbeam takes and how exhausting it is until you try it yourself, seriously I just want to be done with this car, I'll have to redo a lot in 2.0 anyway with the new model that will have correct proportions unlike this one and hopefully will be lower poly.
    So I generally hope that you won't find the deformation too disappointing, in version 2.0 with the new model it will most likely behave more predictable so it will be easier to fix.

    Most likely final list of configs, it's huge... I'll upload the last beta for the testers now, and the mod will be uploaded when all of the following conditions are met:
    • No more bugs found and all found ones that can be fixed relatively quick are fixed
    • Fuel economy testing is done for at least the 600, 650 and 650E configs
    • Changelog is fully translated to Polish
    Which can take between a few days and a few weeks if nothing major goes wrong like it did the last time.

    Most of the custom ones are realistically modified, they are only like 20 crazy ones and half of them are based on crazy irl modifications lol
