I like the idea of having it paid but Ive already decided that it will be free and changing my mind now would cause drama so free it will be
Its the author who decides but I think that turning every good mod into a paid mod sucks. After a few mods we will be paying more than the base game costs and there will be leaks with potential viruses and other modland stuff (remember the incident?). I like the idea of the current BeamNG community, its like the open source community but in games.
But mods aren't programs; you can make multiple versions of them, and in a way it's harder because it require multiple skills and knowledges, of course making those programs is hard too but you don't need to know how cars work, how to texture, model and jbeam. And it's not because these programs are open source that mods should be.
You can also make multiple versions of programs though, 32 or 64 bit, for different systems, and there are patches and updates too. And they also require many skills such as: programming, coding, data management, UI design, a basic knowledge of how a PC works, code optimization, issue fixing, data safety, etc. The real difference is that the programs are made by several, sometimes dozens of people, each with one or two specific skills. And mods are made mostly by 1 person, so you have to be talented and experienced in multiple different things, and work way more because you are doing everything yourself. So modders obviously deserve a lot of respect for this.
well i dont blame you for saying that, the H150 nissan president came with the Y40 and Y44 V8's but i doubt its likely anyways
No this will only come with the I6, however if anyone wants to mod an engine swap or turbo kit in they can once its released
