Really thank you for that work of art ! This is definitely worth paying 4 euros for this ! PS : I'm very sorry for what happend Lucas, good luck and keep your awesome work up ! Another PS : Pls guys, don't use that f**king leaked version, this is really disrespectful for the modder if you really want that mod, pay for it ! Be logic !
Your arguments are inconsistent. Why would you want a refund if as you say mod leaks are inevitable? In that case the sole purpose of buying the mod would be to support the mod maker. I bought the mod and I most certainly don't want a refund just because there are illegitimate, stolen, illegal redistributions of the mod on sketchy websites.
bought it today, great little car to drive around and tear up! a great addition to my hatch collection!
My point is LBE should have made it free in the first place as obviously at some point it will be leaked, as is with every mod. Don’t get me wrong, I completely agree with the fact that Lucas deserves money for this mod, it’s as close to dev quality as can be.
Again inconsistency. You think he deserves money, but you think he should have made it free. Which is it?
I think the mod should be free and the people who want to show support should donate to him. --- Post updated --- So that everyone can access your mods and enjoy the quality of them, and at the same time you still receive money from people’s donations.
Ah, I don't agree with you. How lucas wanna price his mods or take donations is up to him. Anyone who tries to circumvent that is a thief.
There are meshslaps that cost 30 a month. This mod is a one-time payment of 3.80 and its literally dev quality.
By the way I’m not saying anyone should download the leaked version if that’s what you think. Let’s agree to disagree and leave it at that.
At the end of the day if 200.000 people or 50 people get access to it I get the same compensation : nothing. I'd rather have less people get it but make some money for the months of work and years I spent learning how to do this than see a stupid counter saying X people downloaded my mod. I'm grateful people are enjoying my stuff but it doesn't matter how many or how little use it in the end
Yeah, that's because there isn't a way to take it down from the Russia-based site; There's no copyright laws there iirc
Nono, that was an anecdote. But Yea, to sum it up, I most definitely disagree with your standpoint. Beam mods are technically worth a bit of money. More so than say a forza rip mod made for assetto corsa since a beam mod have around 1000 times the effort put into it. It's among the most time consuming games to make mods for. It takes both 3D modelling, texturing as well as actual engineering skill to make. In the case of Lucas he have invested his own money into the softwares needed to produce these models. As well as the crazy amount of time. Here's the thing about paid mods. Lucas (or anyone else) isn't some conveyorbelt system that will always spew out mods no matter what. It's not necessarily a matter of a free mod or paid mod. It could be a matter of paid mod, or no mod. Paid mods is a great motivator for those who invest abit more time into modding. Without a good system to support paid mods, the very best mods might end up becoming too valuable to the creator to give away for free. I for example have a car model I would like to turn into a paid mod. I have over five years into the model. I will however not release that until a good system is inplace to protect my intellectual property.
I just did some math, and he has sold 334 picnics worth 3.80 euro or my currency 4.01 American dollars with a total of 1347.36 DOLLARS! THATS 1269.2 EUROS! With the roof accessories mod he sold 120 roof accessories worth 1.50 euros or 1.58 American dollars witch is a total of 189.6 DOLLAR$! THATS 180.0 EUROS! Add that together and you get 1536.96 U.S. DOLLARS! THATS 1449.2 EUROS! Congrats on earning that! You very much deserve it.
