meant moreso to kinda.. yknow... get people to stop making this thread about the ethics of a mod the best way to feel like doing nothing means something
My idea is not to make paid mods. How long have I been following paid mods always exposed to leaks. For me, it’s better to make mods free and make a link to support yourself where people not for mods but just to support you can throw off money for you.
Well, I'm fully understand it. Even that's a paid mod, I still have a plan to buy it soon (and trust me, I never download any mods on every 3rd party site ever because I don't want to risking my PC). I like your work so much since the 1994 ETK K-Series was released in repo, and I still liked it today... I apologize that the situation is getting more worse, but for 140 Baht (3.8 Euros based on the Ko-fi page) I'm gonna support you and hope you're still good too... #nohateLBE
If you put this much effort itno an internship or a part time student thing you could be making cash. It is genuinely commendable, albeit a lost cause on a wimpy forum with no interface to back this kind of mechanism up. Then again this has been discussed here on official levels times and times over and nothing has come from it either. This forum will have it's 10th year in Aug and nothing has changed at all in that time.
Loving The Picnic With My Whole Heart And Soul. The Mod Is Worth It. LucasBE Thank you for making this masterpiece for only 3.80 Euro. That's like nothing to us. But for you It's a big feeling I Bet

I feel that you should be able to expect better from people in a situation where you have an independent, single developer working on something. Large companies have huge budget for marketing, which leaves them with income regardless of piracy. So it's easier to justify in a way. Not the case for your average joe though who do the equalent of a yardsale next to the supermarket. And these reuploads seems to be very mean spirited with attached messages insinuating that Lucas only wants money. It's a malicious targetting of an individual. It's also incredibly scummy to steal something someone else made, and making up your own rules for what it should cost. Not just illegal, but also immoral.
I see 3 ways this can proceed: The devs see this and end up integrating a paid system for mods, the devs see this and ban paid mods on the grounds of reducing drama and leveling the playing field, or nothing happens. I have no idea what could happen, but excluding that for now, for all parties this has been a shambolic disgrace and I hope lessons are learned for once
It's just been not a great time has it? --- Post updated --- I feel particularly bad for Lucas considering the flak he's getting rn. The guy's got talent, talent I haven't seen for quite a long time
Im sorry to hear that the mod has been leaked, LucasBE. On another note; I can't wait to see more stuff from you, it has a price about 2 cups of bubble tea, but it is far better than that. The only "issue" I found is the spare wheel is a little too close to the catalytic converter and clips just a little. Other than that, worth every penny
Turbo Diesel GTi (with a bit of my interior flair) Doesnt allow me to upload the .pc file here so link
@LucasBE I'ts possible to authenticate each copy of picnic mod (or future mods, maybe) with the blockchain tech, and identify the guy who leak the file with it for invalidate this copy and each copy leaked? Or you can go in beamNG team (with a great facility imo^^) So, your talent will be always spent to improve this amazing game ( : (without the leaking problem, and find ninetynine! in the pantheon of the best modders of beam)
