Yep because of hyperlinks. I would 100% copy the link as text and then paste it

 

so it could be an ip grabber disguised as a discord link

Even youtube links are not safe if you copy them. I was testing some stuff and I found that if you click a link in the description of a youtube video, it is a redirect link.
So what I did is used grabify.link and put it in the description of a youtube video of mine, and then click on it while I was disconnected.
I then copied the link and you then have a IP grabber disguised as a youtube link
