Im relatively new to making skins to beamng and I have followed a video tutorial by Margarine on how to make a skin for a car. The car im making a skin for is a dodge viper mod made by inertia. When I load up the game the skin doesnt show up in the selector. What am I doing wrong?

I just took a quick look, one error is that both your .cs file and jbeam file has .txt at the end, this is not correct.
They have to be named their actual file extensions at the end.

When you edit these files, you just right click and open in a text editor, you don't have to make them into .txt files :)
I don't know if this is all that's wrong, but it's a place to start.

How did you get the skin to show up? I've got to show in the selector but not on the car itself.

Maybe check your code and make sure that the materials.cs and the .jbeam files are actually those because that was one of my problems. if they are correctly formatted then double check your code. if it still doesnt work then idk, ill check my code after school

I've got them switched to json and jbeam formats, it's still not coming up.

He got it to work because the video uses the cs file format, we’re trying to figure out how to get the json format to work. Any idea’s?
(Edit) He even posted a picture of the skin he made, so… it must work for the cs file format.
