Why?? And what about for people who can't pay or don't have money? This has not so much sense I respect your idea, but i don't share it at all
Also to clear things up : It wasn't going to be paid at the start, I decided it would be paid about 3 weeks ago when I felt I could get paid for the months of work and years of learning I've put into this mod. Again, I get why people are disappointed, and I understand that, but this will stay paid. I think the price is fair. If you don't, you're free not to buy it. To anyone that decides to buy it, I hope you'll enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it
Yeah it is and that’s indeed valid criticism which Lucas has already taken up and apologized for ———————————————————- Let’s all just calm down and not freak out that we can’t get everything for free and go about our days The world doesn’t end because a good mod costs 4€ Look at AC or ETS mods for example….
yes, he didn't say anything about it being paid, it's kinda disappointing to me too but why so much hate? i would understand if the mod was really expensive but now that i noticed how cheap the mod is i think you all are overreacting a bit. i'm not rich either, i'm a student without a job and it still doesn't look expensive to me. in fact i'm surprised he's selling it for a price this low cause the mod looks very well made. you all should sit down for a moment and think about what you're getting for this price.
If you can't pay, don't buy it. You don't need this mod. There's plenty of other free mods out there. If you need something like this, make it yourself.
I love how people say "you should've clarified it was paid beforehand" like they still wouldn't be mad about it lol. It's not like he committed a criminal offense, he just decided he'd charge money for the mod and happened not to clarify publicly. I don't see the point of throwing so much shit at him for this cause he never owed you anything
Thanks, it is great that I finally made my dream crapbox from France with the mix of Middle Eastern culture.
Oh boy. Paying for a mod is still shaky territory (just look at how it went for Skyrim), but the bigger issue is that it was a silent change. When you decided 3 months ago that it was to be paid, you should've told us all instead of dropping it out of nowhere. Now, you risk a damaged reputation and setting a precident that doing that is okay. I will not be buying it (because I can't afford it even if I wanted to) so I will just use the Covet instead as it's a similar shape and size.
This is not very well worded, I see your point but the "make it yourself" argument can only apply to 0.001% of the forum members, not only because it's ultra hard to make a good mod in general, but also because this looks like it has taken a lot more talent than most people here have
look at what happened in less than 4 hours lol. Maybe Lucas should have said that before, but I don´t see a problem in making a paid mod. Lucas im NOT dissapointed.
Sick. I bought it, looks amazing. Definitely worth the 5$ IMO, and props to you for making this a paid-only mod. Quality-made stuff like this deserves to be paid for. The only problem though, that I personally have is the fact that this is literally just a covet - dimensions-wise. And seeing that you immediately discontinued the idea of a 5-door variant (No idea why...), I'm just gonna guess that this isn't going to change anytime soon. Either way, amazing job @LucasBE
i hope there are more paid mods in the future (used fairly of course, after having tried this i think its well worth the asking price) even if you dont want to pay for the mod, there is priceless entertainment in the thread after the entitled users pitch in
The most ironic and suspicious part is this though: You made the reddit post exactly three weeks ago.
The best would be to delete this thread and end drama and confusion, beamng dev's should also ban paid mods like SCS did on their forum.
I personally don't think paid mods should be banned, but the thread could be temporarily closed to prevent drama even though it's starting to clear up a bit.
