I will still continue to make free mods, I have no idea why some people think I'm only going to make paid stuff
I too want to make the community happy and to continue modding the way it used to be done, consider the picnic as a special case.

While yes, i warned him to disclose that the mod will be paid to avoid the dissapointment and it is really not ideal.

But.

Mods in BeamNG.Drive are maybe some of the hardest to make in all of gaming, you have to model everything, texture everything, think of lore, brands, logos, jbeaming everything and having to abide by rules of what you can even make. It is literally hundreds of hours of work on bigger mods, where all is done by not many people.

No single person is owed a single mod. We all work our asses off to deliver quality content to all of you just for you to enojoy and most of the time we dont ask mone for it. But then again if someone were to ask money for high quality content like it, it is completely fair to do so. Its their right what they do with their content that they made themselves, no one is entiteled to it.

Either pay up or cope hard.

imagine going to a mechanic and expecting him to pour hours of work into something and for you not to pay
lucas has spent literally months working on this and all he asks per download is 4 dollars
it is the same price as a cup of coffee
get over yourselves.

 

Just to spread some positivity on here, those $4 USD or whatever it cost were some of the best $4 I've spent in a good while. It's a dev quality vehicle, and it already is one of my favourite cars to drive in the game. Lucas, you really have outdone yourself with this one. It's brilliant!
