I love them! Recently, I bought a set of two Chevrolet Opalas. It's amazing to know that they made a high quality 1/64 diecast of one of the most iconic Brazilian cars.
Went out today and got a few “junkers” The truck with flames and the brown mercedes were considered garbage for some reason One of the cars i got is literally brand new Also one is a mustang in very good condition (Excuse my car cluttered desk, i have my favorites on my desk so i can enjoy modding more )
These came in a box and a plastic bag inside wrapping them The mini looks nothing like on the box, Looks like a 3 year old designed it lol
Another bundle today, Got a few good ones, i got other questionable ones but i wont show them to stop the cringe Feel free to ask any questions about them if you want Edit: jeez this thread is dead lol
Haha, lol, if I would post everything I buy, this thread would be pretty much just become a spam-thread, I'm at somewhat 4.000 Hot Wheels-sized diecast cars right now, plus 160+ 1/18 scale models and hellalot of inbetween scales You've got some nice mainline Hot Wheels, some people don't even appreciate them anymore and moved on to other higher class manufacturers. I still like the simple Hot Wheels too. What brand is that brown Hummer H2 on your second last post? It looks really cool and well made. My latest bigger purchase was a solid 52 old Matchbox models on a fleamarket. The most are in good conditions and some are quite rare to find nowadays, got really lucky there And I'm trying to do some more professional pictures of the 1/18 scale models lately (Also, if you want to check it out, I've got a link to my whole Hot Wheels collection in my signature, where I keep track of what I already own ^^)
Finally someone whose as addicted as me too them lol Its probably because higher class ones have more details but for £0.50 a pop at a flea market im not complaining lol Not sure, ill have a look later and post it here, Old matchboxes are pretty decent, those things go through hell and survive lol. I only have a few though, no idea were they are --- Post updated --- Had to use a magnifying glass to see the name lol Its made by “hongwell”, they make quite a lot of models https://www.carmodel.com/hongwell/ca9340/1-43/hummer/h2-4x4-2003/29844 They only seem to be available on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=hongwell+humer+h2&_sacat=0 Edit: woah you have an awesome collection
I dig the Hummer and Escalade-combo, I've got those but in different colurs too! Stuffs and things I bought on a little modelcar swapmeet today...
Yeah, the Escalade was probably one of the hardest to get since they didn't make much of those, and ones I've found were going for way too much. Same goes for a couple cars in that pile, fought hard, and my bank account has PTSD now.
I never buy stuff online, I only go for models I find on local toyfairs, stores or fleamarkets. Found my Escalade at a classic car fair that also featured some modelcar vendors
I haven't had much luck with catching toy fairs due to my schedule. Did get some luck with a couple stores and also flea markets in the past, but my go-to guy moved, and nobody else hasn't really matched what he usually carried. Anyways, couple new arrivals.
This is most of the stuff ive being buying over the past 2 weeks. i got a few old 60’s lesney work trucks from an antique shop, they are really cool I got a few nice 2nd hand sports cars, most seen here bought today and ill attach a pic of an old asda truck i found on the street last year i got other stuff but at 9:15 pm im not gonna sort them out for now lol And of corse, feel free to ask any questions about them if you have any also if anyone remembers the car i posted in the astro thread (this) yes i still have it EDIT: its nice too see this thread alive again
Flea market was open today This is most of what i bought all together i think it was 6£, The old red hotwheel is a 1980’s mercedes 540k, looks good but is in meh shape. I got the middle of the 3 cars in a random box for 50p, the other 2 i got for a pound together, the one on the right is from 1987. The 6 at the bottom were on a table for 50p each, i think they were owned by a kid as they had a few scratches and chips, but meh I’ll collect the most wrecked of hotwheels lol. I really need to think about getting rid of some of the weird make cars i dont want anymore. Over at least 13 years when i was given a hotwheel by a friend who found it in his desk ive collected them. I have at least 4000 die cast cars, it does sound like a lie but if you saw them all you would believe me As always, feel free to ask any questions, i have nothing else too do so why not lol. Spoiler: Bonus pic of a shed mock up ive had in the background of a couple of pics
I love those situations. Recently I grabbed a Hot Wheels Ferrari 360 Modena with a Coca Cola livery out of a box with scrap models for 1€, just to find out that it was a limited model for Italy only and good ones go for 80+ bucks. Sadly mine's in bad shape, but it's still a rare piece That's the new Solido model, right? Had it together with the orange one in my hand at the last fair, would have loved to buy one, but I did spend too much that day already... A little scenery in the garden
Got this and another old hotwheel (right) and this beetle thing --- Post updated --- Ok now thats cool edit: took one look in a draw next to me and found these which i forgot existed.
I got this picture. these are 1/18 (the small suburban is a 1/64. basically, a hot wheel's size.) I got 1/18, 1/24 1/ 32 1/43 1/64. --- Post updated --- here is a scale for people who don't know. left to right. 1/64, 1/43, 1/25 and 1/18
