Somebody on this forum has downloaded car mods off of this website and just uploaded it to Kickass.to.

I'm a KAT regular and I owned this game (since it's release) and when I saw this.. it pissed me off.

EDIT: I asked the owner of Kickass.to if he could remove it.. Now we play the waiting game.

I think we do but I could be wrong...I am unsure yet of who could do this turn against this forum and do such an evil thing!

 

You should of played the nice card and asked for his BeamNG forum name because "you liked his videos" but mmmm...

Still puzzling who would do this...I think...we need to take a closer look at this I know KAT is blocked here in the UK so I cannot do much I think our American side of the Forum needs to get in on this...and help us out because KAT over there isnt blocked..

He did remove most of the videos, but his YouTube still has a download for Drowsy's catapult on mediafire.

Is this all the mods in one file? That's a pretty good idea, though..

Anyway, who downloads torrents these days? It's probably the best way to get a trojan.

 

A LOT of people do. I can say that if you don't download free-creditcards-money-bitches.torrent, with a few seeders, it usually isn't a virus. If you download them without thinking, and you don't do research on it, yeah, you will get some viruses.

Also remember, torrenting is just a file sharing protocol (P2P), and it is just what you torrent is what's illegal.

<IMO>People use torrenting for all this illegal pirating stuff as opposed to normal downloading because it relieves stress on a server. It also can potentially make these large files download faster. </IMO>

Yes, there are options like that and I know how to moderate forums and I know how to ban people, there are options in the moderator controls to ban people via username, or via IP address ranges and IP bans are sometimes used to stop people and then there is the less used IP Range bans, but that is VERY rarely used because you could knock out other people, from the forums by accident...

That would be likely but IF the admins tracked that down all they would have to do is an IP block and thats that account and ALL the others that person uses nuked!

 

Yeah, I know. Torrents are a pretty good way to download stuff. I always use torrent whenever possible for files I know the source from (and that I can verify with hashes). Like LibreOffice and such.
I was wondering about those file collections and such. Which are a pretty good idea, IMO - especially due to said benefits (less server load, faster download). But you never know what's in there.
